they got low scores because at the time halo and halo 2 came out, they were amazing looking games and the like, but when they came out for the PC the standards had changed and GS rated them that way.

Sony can't afford to lower the price on the PS3, they lose tons of money on each console as it is, dropping the price would mean more layoffs and less money. Sony isn't that stupid.

MS is actually making money on every console sold, so if anyone, MS would have a price drop.

I'm sure they are fixing the problem. This just shows they have found and acknowledge problem(s) and they are addressing them. Them extending the warranty is a good thing.

MS is changing out the old hardware with the hardware in the new 360 systems. They are fixing the over heating problem mostly.
