So I'm planning on doing a completely new build around the end of this year and I know its kinda early but i figure the longer I spend researching the better my end result will be. So I'm hoping people here will be able to give me some feedback or suggestions on what Iv currently got. Also any info on any new stuff due to come out which I might be better waiting for. I'm aiming for a total cost of around AUS$1800. Here's what Iv got so far.

CPU: AMD FX-8350  $238

Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH-990FX-R2  $205

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3  $179 (Im not 100% sure if this RAM is compatible either so any help would be great)

GPU: Haven't really figured out what to get yet, But from the cost of everything so far I have around $700 to spend.

Case: Thermaltake Chaser A31 Mid Tower Black  $98

PSU: Thermaltake Tough Power Gold 750W 80 Plus  $159

I dont have an issue with pc games going too console, but I do get annoyed when its a pc game being stripped down so it can run on a console.

I was really looking forward to trying this with a friend, but after 3 hours of the game not starting, errors, hanging on the first loading screen and then not being able too join our region servers we both gave up. And too make things worse we couldn't find anything similar too our issues on the forums nor were we able too post with trial accounts to ask for some help. Iv still got the game installed in the hope I may get it working, but as for my friend, they were already pretty cautiousof the game and uninstalled it.

Iv had abit of good luck, I figured I would give the place I purchased my mouse from a call one more time just too see if I could get a replacement, even though I was told afew months back that they wouldn't. So anyway, gave them a call, explained the issue, and that I lost my receipt. They told me too go into the shop and try getting them too look up past sales so they could maybe print out a new one, if they could find my purchase. I wasnt really expecting anything too come up seeing as i bought the mouse 12 months ago and could not remember the exact date. But I went in anyway, and they offered me a gift card for the store instead of a replacement. Stupid thing was the gift card was for the same value of the mouse, so I just bought a new one with that.

Im amazed that this couldnt have been done months ago, and was instead told without a receipt they couldnt do anything. I guess it goes too show if you're polite and co-operative you'll rarely get anywhere, when it comes too refunds at least. Now I just have too hope this mouse doesnt do the same thing again in 12 months time.

Im using a Logitech MX Performance mouse, which has become basically unusable due too the double clicking issue, and the left click not holding. I love the feel of this mouse but apparently no receipt means no replacement or repairs, and seeing as this is my 3rd logitech too fail on me with the exact same problem I may steer clear of picking up another unless convinced they can be reliable.

Iv been looking at the "CM Storm Inferno" and "CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO-G" but from what Iv read they have problems with their software on win7 64bit OS's. Id really like too pick something up which will last me more then 12 months, hell I wish I could pick something up that would last forever like they used too. Im really tired of having too buy something new because of the exact same problem. I use my PC everyday, mostly for gaming which is why I would like too find something with a similar or better button layout as the MX Performance. Iv got a price limit of $100 Aus.

So if anyone has any suggestions, or experience with the ones Iv mentioned Id love too hear it. Im really going too do my research this time around, and hopefully this will be the last mouse I need too buy for the next few years.

the arma 2:CO sales have increased so much since this mod came out, its now on the steam most popular purchase list. The mods alot of fun, but I still wish a real developer would make a dedicated game like this. Just the popularaty of this mod should be enough too show that the demand for the game would be there.

the monitor you linked to doesnt appear too support 1920x1080, which may be the reason for it looking so bad. Set your resolution too 1600x900.

It could be a broken wire. This happens too my girlfriends headset every few months, luckly the breaks have been on the head phone end and not the plug, so its been an easy snip and soldering job too fix it.

If your really desperate too keep the headphones you have, and its the plug thats broken, you could try finding an old set somewhere and maybe be able to use the plug from them. Just cut the plugs off and attach the working one. Ofcourse dont go cutting anything unless your out of other options and are willing to loose all use of the headphones.
