im not one of those people still playing CSS for years and years, my opinion on FPS change as new games come out COD4 was awesome when i picked it up, good story, and the first time i really play online in a game (other then a mmo), but after i got prestige, i got bored Then i got Killzone 2, and with its awesome graphics, good cover system, ****based online and how game modes changed on the fly (which force me to play something other then just TM, which is a great thing) i was just blown away. But maybe i have A.D.D when it comes to FPS games, (or that there are just soo many i wanna try) that i cant stick with one and cant call one the best of the best.marcl18123
CS: Source is hurt squad anyways IMO ;), CS 1.6 is the greater CS game!!!
Anyways, I have probably had the most fun this gen playing COD 4.
Personally LOVED the single player. The online was meh.
The fact that you can go about accomplishing the mission in so many different ways is awsome. Set a fire to create a distraction and than flank. Go rambo styles with big guns, go stealth...
The only negative in my opinion is the travelling, but that never really bugged me too much because I always made sure I had a jeep nearby and if I had to travel a long distance I would just hop on the bus.
I give it about an 8 out of 10 for the single player, maybe a strong 7.5 if I want to be tough
It's hyped because everyone who has imported it has NOTHING but good things to say. If they do have something bad to say it is usually about how unforgiving the difficulty is (something myself and many others are actually looking for).
Not to mention it is a dungeon crawler RPG...when was the last time a good one was released on a console?
