Actually theoretically we can, assuming by "world" you mean Earth. We just don't yet, and will take us quite a while to do so, we're making a lot of progress however. I'm not sure what you mean by having everything down to a science..

Frankly, I think that a lot of people who label themselves 'atheists' are just ignorant and/or have never really gone through pain and suffering. Being an atheist requires real smarts and you must prove that God doesn't exist with real, scientific facts, instead of passing off religion as empty because you're so secure that you don't need to explore that side of yourself. What are you talking about? Atheism is the lack of belief in Gods, that's it. It's not a claim its a rejection of a claim, it doesn't require evidence. The claim is that their is a God, Atheism is rejecting that claim on the basis that their is no evidence, which there is not, unless you'd like to provide some?..

I believe in a greater being. Why would so many people make up all those stories and pass them down from generations to generations? Why would they start wars over it? And to me it's hard to believe our very own existence and love is just coincidence. Like they say "Your mother could have been 10mins late to that coffee shop where she met your dad and you would have never been born!" :oXxspritexX

Not a very strong argument. Plus why wouldn't they? If someone thinks they're dying for God, they're going to do it. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and assume you're not a muslim, yet suicide bombers take their own lives for their God, why would they do that unless their God exists? It's just not a strong case. Besides, its should be only natural for humans to try to explain their surrounds they don't understand by way of magic or supernatural. People used to believe the sun was a chariot of fire being pulled across the sky, because they just didn't know any better or what else to think of it, so we make narratives. The same holds true for religion.

I believe that there is a God. It just feels right. I don't have any other explination for it, so I don't blame you for not understanding why I believe if you don't feel the same way.

Are you a Deist or a Theist?

If Theist, what religion do you follow? If Deist, what exactly about it feels right? Is it more of a comfort thing?

Just curious, I'm an Atheist myself and I like having discussion with Theists.

What do you believe and why do you hold those particular beliefs?
