Yeah, I would say the gun play isn't the best, it does have a great variety of guns, close to the variety of Fallout, or other RPG type games, but the weapons seem to be horribly inacurate and inconsistent. Having said that, I loved Stalker because it mixes some RPG in with an FPS plus gives you challanging opponants. The AI is very good imo. They flank, cooperate and can be very sneaky. I've also been taken by surprise by one crouching behind a box and waiting until he had a clear shot at my back to take me out...

However, some parts of the reality can be a bit frustrating, but I applaud it.

Yeah, I think the biggest problem here is expectations. Back in the day, way way back, Pong was a 10 simply because it was a moving set of controllable objects, but now it's pathetic, not even a 0 on the scale, because we've seen it before and there are much better things out there. Now, if every game was like GTA 4 or some other "awesome game" we'd all get bored of the one's that were slightly worse and that process continues ad infinitum.

I thought the single player campaign was decent. Not the best thing ever, but certainly one of the better titles to have come out lately (which really isn't saying too much for this genre).

I didn't play much multiplayer, but I'd imagine because of the slight age on this game, that it's not too overpopulated. Whether that's good or bad is up to you...

Yup, one more confirmation, all in game engine there.

Even more interesting, I saw the first trailer as an advirtisment on, I think it was the SciFi channel. I dropped my jaw under my seat and had to look for it for a few minutes. I couldn't believe EVE was advertising on network television, I know it's not like they need the publicity, it just shocked me.

I just think it's hilarious how much of a deal they made about not being PC exclusive, and then they realized that the cry engine wouldn't go quietly onto the consoles! :P

If the beta is just going to be in the play and pray format, where they let people play and pray someone reports decent bugs, then I say let them charge for that, most of the people that play will be doing just that, playing, not testing. There are companies out there that treat beta testing like a job though. Where the company sets goals and quotas that must be met or filled in order to remain a part of the beta. These types should always be free/paid betas, but I think they also get the most done and are the most efficient.

I dont want to sound like a narc, but this thread was like, 7 pages down on the first page of the pc forum.

How would you sound like a narc? I would say the review is fair and gives room for improvement like when the bugs and balance get fixed.

Well, I'm at least for a rating system that prevents parents from claiming their kids were playing something morally objectional... but when games like Gears of War completely miss a market (germany) because some guy in a suit says he doesn't like the game for whatever reason, that's a problem... I'm pretty sure people are playing in Australia, so at least it's not that bad, or is it?

Play AoC or EVE, not WoW! Why? Because I don't like three letter acronyms/words with the letter W in them!!!

The letter "W" brought to you by Satan himself!
