The lesson here is that you can't just say anything you want on the Internet and have it not be taken seriously. In fact, one of the problems of the Internet is just that: people like to troll each other excessively to the point where if something really does happen, most people won't believe it. The "boy who cried wolf" is the original troll and paid dearly for it.
Having said all that, going to prison for a tasteless joke is extreme. I understand that the police took his comment seriously (and they should, because...remember the boy who cried wolf), but throwing the kid in jail was unnecessary. And now they want to lock him away for 8 years...don't criminals get the same jail time for more serious crimes?
@Foleman @GreenReuben @supermoc10 You're aware that SMT4 is releasing on the 3DS, right? Not to mention the other SMT games that have been released on the DS, all of which were M-rated. Then you have all the other games that have been released on Nintendo consoles...how would they not fit in?
Using M-rated games as a reason for them to not be picked up by Nintendo is a poor argument.
@kokoalea @King9999 I'm not mad at Sony or anything. They took a bad situation for their competitors and ran with it, and it was brilliant. While the future of this industry is definitely a digital one, the way MS handled things was poor, and Sony took complete advantage of it. I haven't seen a more exciting E3 in years.
