@hystavito A few have said that Half Life 2 didnt get trademarked until about a year before the game was actually released. Soo who knows.

@Hellknite190 There is no keeping it in the dark forever. We all knew the game was going to be announced eventually. Expect to possibly hear something from Valve in the coming week or so.

@foojam clearly you didnt play it when it originally released. The engine was ground breaking for its time. Infact the Source Engine is still comparable and better than other game engines even today.

@LADIES_MAN_2013 Yes I remember reading that article, but the thing was...that quote from John Patrick was from 2011 I believe. Not 2013.

@naomha1 I agree, but console being its loyal fans? How many people still play Team Fortress 2 on Consoles? None right? Same with Dota 2, not on consoles...No mods or Steam on consoles. You might see Half Life 3 come to PC and Steam Machine first, then ported to console later. That would be my guess.

My guess is as of late they been hard at work with the Source 2 engine. The Source engine was amazing and ahead of soo many other game engines when it first released. IF HL3 is going to be released for next gen consoles, im sure valve has been waiting for it.

@Ladiesman17 For its time, the game had a completly amazing engine. Even today the Source engine is very good. On top of it all a great story and lore overall.
