@thegroveman In terms of visuals. Yes they were nothing amazing. But graphics and FPS are two different things. A system as powerful as these should easily be able to run a game like Watch Dogs at a higher framerate than 30.
Either they boosted the textures up (which it doesnt appear that they did) or this is just sad and the next gen consoles arnt really as powerful as sony and microsoft been claiming. Atleast not in the GPU area.
@Godokuno_Dan Our exclusives are mods that keep games interesting and fun for much longer periods of time. Team Fortress 2, I bet nobody plays that game on the xbox anymore. Yet there are still 100,000s of players that play it daily on PC thanks to mods.
There are many exclusives. Many of them are also free and have tons of replay value, unlike the pick up and play once types of exclusives you mentioned there.
I completly forgot about the whole power supply thing. Microsoft and Sony are limited to 300w? That is a pathetic amount, not even my video card can run on that low amount of watts.
@Rayjay864 Over exaggerating much? 700/800 dollars can get you a pretty fast machine overall...you save by being able to buy cheaper games, dont have to pay for xbox live or PSN. It may not be cheaper up front but in the long run it does save you money.
Still going on about this cloud processing when the majority of us with general computer and processing knowledge knows its complete bullshit when it comes to boosting the games performance?
Sure maybe it will be decent 20 years down the line when everyone has a super high speed connection, but not today. Games relying on the cloud to run also would require a constant Internet connection to play viably.
@Xristophoros Steam Box was only rumored and it was believed that it would be a new console...This is something different, its technically a PC with the ease of use of a console.
@Jebril Crossing my fingers for HL3 announcement on friday. I mean what else could they possibly announce? There isnt any other thing that has been rumored as much as HL3 has.
@LS-Chaos I see it as sort of a stepping stone towards PC gaming for some. Say they are tired of the directions console are heading (with certain limitations and having to pay to play games online and other features). They could get one of these Steam Machines, which are upgradable as well.
