@CP2077 Yeah, if they for a shooter they should go Battlefront 3. Like you've said COD have alread done COD and they do it pretty well. You can't just copy another franchises gameplay and expect to compete with the established original. If only more developers would realise this the industry might not be so stagnant.

Wow I'm happy that didn't happen, talk about selling out in the interest of broad appeal. As for 1313 we've all heard this story before, games "on hold" but not cancelled for years. So often they don't even get officially cancelled, they just disappear. With the next gen just around the corner I can't see this ever being released.
I'd like the next gen to move to better local play. The reason I buy a console is to play multiplayer with friends but in recent years less and less games are including 4-player split-screen. This is often due to hardware limitations so hopefully with more powerful consoles and a smaller step-up graphically we'll see 4-player split-screen return. I doubt this will be the case though, which is kind of ironic really. I used to play 4-player everything on my 56cm TV now that I have 50" TV only a few of my games support it.
I can't see Nintendo dropping out of the handheld stakes for a while yet. Although mobile phones and tablets are competing with Nintendo in this market touch screens don't allow the same control and as such few of the games have much depth, meaning someone who is looking for a true portable gaming device will go for a 3DS or PSvita (A mini console war that Nintendo is dominating). However I could see them dropping out of the home console market, a lot of the people who bought the Wii won't see the need to update to a next gen console and people who bought the 360 or PS3 hardly even see the Wii U as next gen.
@queuing_for_PS4 @marioSNAKEeyes A lot of people can't afford a brand new console as soon as it comes out. There will be plenty of people waiting for the price drop who'll buy this game for their current console.
As coincidence has it i was talking to my Mum tonight about this issue before i read the article. I told her about Alien v Predator, how it was originally banned before the ban was overturned and the game was released with an MA15+ rating without any additional censoring even though other countries had rated it R18+. She was immediately sold on the idea of an R18+, if more non-gamers were shown this side of the story I reckon they would feel strongly for an R18+ rating.
