I'm pretty sure holding the puck behind your own net for the whole game is illegal.........fastr
Nope, it's not. There is no rule you have to advance the puck. They don't need a rule because only a spineless team with no sportsmanship who wants to win the cheapest way possible would do so. Kinda like Rashad. If a team did that tho there would be outrage, and they would make a rule.

Not trying to be rude but I just have to ask, how much MMA have you watched / who are your favorite fighters?

What you are describing is a perfectly legal and smart tactic. Evans won all three rounds, he won in a unanimous decision, what you saw was a well fought match by Evans. Can I recomend going to www.sherdog.com, a place that reviews and discusses MMA in detail. Maybe you just aren't seeing what most everyone else here saw in that fight. It honestly was a masterful victory and if you don't see that, seriously go and find Couturevs. fights or Matt Hughes vs. Matt Serra, that is three rounds of nothing but greco-roman wrestling. If you hated what Evans did in thatfight you will really hate those ****of fights.

Evans' trainer on how he followed the game plan perfectly.

so.. lets say we're in the NHL, ok, and team A scores a goal. It's 1 - 0. You'd be perfectly fine with that team then taking the puck behind their own net and having all 5 players on the ice right there just keeping the puck behind the net? Don't try to advance it or anything, just lay 5 bodies around it. fastr
Those are two totally different examples. A better example would be the neutral zone trap. The Devils perfected this in the 90's and it won them a few Stanley Cups. Basically they do just enough for them to win the game, but the game is still winable for the other team and it isn't illegal like the example you give.

Your example would be the equivalent of Evans jumping out of the cage and letting time run out. However that doesn't work, Evans put in three good rounds of fighting doing what he needed to win the fight. It isn't about knocking someone out of making them submit. If it were just about that the point system wouldn't exist in MMA or boxing. If Evans were just to run away the whole time thinking that one round won the fight (10 - 9 is a standard round won score) and then avoided Rampage for the rest of the fight and did "nothing" as you want to put it, he would lose the fight 29 - 28.

Watch a Randy Couture fight, or a Matt Hughes fight, they win on points, they win by out wrestling or out muscleing thier opponents. Honestly, there was nothing wrong with what Evans did and there is nothing wrong with what Hughes or Couture do, it is part of the game. Just like in hockey, if someone runs a neutral zone trap, you just need to figure out how to get around it. If a fighter wants to wear you down by wrestling, out wrestle them or get points for transitions or striking.

Yet the ref stood them up, showing that Rashad wasn't staying busy. He won the fight by getting a couple points and holding rampage against the cage for the rest of the fight. Thats just BS. fastr
And yet Randy Couture and Matt Hughes do the same thing over and over again and you don't hear anyone complain there. ;)

Instead they call it "dirty boxing" with Couture and praise Hughes' greco-roman wrestling. The fact is that the good fighters know what they need to do to win and that's it. Evans won the fight because he was a smarter fighter.

And to expand on that it depends on what level shield you have. The initial shield will not block fireballs or magic but it will block arrows.

But yeah, just face the direction of the attack and don't press anything, it'll block the attack.

Well the first question I have is what type of league is this, 4 X 4, 5 X 5, head to head? Simply put you never pay for saves, you always pay for strikeouts, wins, ERA and WHIP if you are running a 5 X 5. If you are in an inning regulated league you need to look at which guy is not giving you the bang for the buck per inning instead of overall. Lindstrom and Rauch have the same number of saves and similar K's but Lindstrom has 2 1/3 more innings, that will add up over time if that trend continues.

If WHIP isn't an issue get rid of Wagner, if it is I think that you drop Rauch and possibly even Wagner. I will also say this, if you are not in a WHIP league, look at moving Cain, he was producing nothing for me this year and I moved him and Jason Bay for Ibanez and Braden... best move I've made.

A site administrator told you what to do... the moderation team here does not handle anything to do with the day to day operations of the site as we are non-staff volunteers.

Just follow what the site admin told you to do and it will all work out, if not, contact them directly, please do not make another topic about this as there is nothing that anyone on the forums can do to help you.

Well if they keep disagreeing with you or the decisions you make they may eventually have a crisis and leave the party, with most members you can do a side mission to get them back into the party. However, if you notice that someone is disagreeing more often than not, give them the most gifts, or don't take them on missions where you know you will have to make a decision of choice
For example Alistair with the Blood Mage quest if you plan on letting him live. Since Alistair's nature is that of a Templar he will be infuriated that you let a Blood Mage live.
As it has always been said...

1.) WHEN WILL THE REVIEW OF THIS GAME BE UP? Please refrain from asking us when the review of your favorite game is going to be posted. The answer is always: "as close to the retail shipping date as possible." While we try our best to get reviews up on the same day a game is released, there are some times that we can't always do so. In all cases, please bear in mind that we do value speed for our reviews, but we also value accuracy. Yes, it's important for us to get a review up quickly, but it's also important to have an accurate review that covers all the bases (rather than risk posting a review that is incomplete or inaccurate because not enough time was spent on it). If a game has been released and you still don't see a review on GameSpot, chances are, we're probably already reviewing it and will post the review soon.
