Watching TDKR I have to say you really need to have seen BB and TDK going in because the film heavily references those. For this reason new viewers I feel will not like it as much as TDK but for me it was as strong. Funny thing is I feel Nolan's version of Bane is the best representation of the character while the other villains are only as good as they're seen in other media. Tom Hardy knocked it out of the park with his body language and expressive eyes, Catwoman was a lot better than I thought she would be and JGL's character definitely made his mark and was strong throughout. The build up was engaging and the climax very fulfilling, that's what I call a trilogy done right.Swift_Boss_AAfter what happened to Ledger I expect the third one changed entirely. It's smart to tie the third with the first after we learned that this was all Nolan is going to do. Now it opens it up for the next writers and director to go back to the 90's Batman movies and screw it all up. But it is really awesome what Nolan can do on the fly.
It's at least 90% bad and 10% good at most. themajormayor90% dead!
Because of AIDS.
Ha. Ha. Ha. I said if. ;) But really. It helps. Your site only shows not everyone has a gun in Texas. And I don't know for sure but there may be gun restrictions in the main cities too.[QUOTE="LOXO7"][QUOTE="worlock77"]
Yes, I read your post and I just disproved your notion that "all citizens armed is less crime, Texas proves it".

If you're insisting that more citizens with guns = less crime then you're going to have to back that up with some evidence. All you've done so far is speculated.
As is much as someone saying more restrictions or no guns is less crime. Thankfully the law is on my side. I heard and read some stories of this law working. Even in this very thread. I don't know about you, but for me that is enough. I tend to believe that witnesses aren't on some conspiracy to lie. And they all relate to Texas. I know for a fact that if guns were illegal in the US there would be more crime. It happens with everything. But if guns were gone it would be easier to do successful crimes. Why are you telling me this? Did you not read my post? Maybe you should re-read.[QUOTE="LOXO7"][QUOTE="worlock77"]
Apparently not. Out of the top 10 cities in the US with the most crime 6 are in Texas. Also take a look at the "States" section right under that. It appears that Florida, South Carolina and Maryland have the most crime.

He'd probably figured he would want to be in the safest place awaiting his sentence date when all chaos breaks loose in the US when the dollar tanks and becomes worthless. Wait. The guards are paid and they would leave the jail cells to go and protect their families. Starvation. You know what guys, maybe gun control is not the problem here.
I'd say so many people turn to mass shooting as a fast way to get their names stuck in every newspaper in the surrounding 1,000 miles.
You know WHY they get so much attention?
Because the media will ramp this up and milk this story for all its worth.
His face will be pasted his face across every TV screen for the next few weeks to come.
Wannabe 5 minuters are going to notice the immediate attention this once nobody has recieved and will want to follow in his footsteps
If the media were to report this story in a boring, less sensationalist way, I think it will have a profound psychological affect on many people considering doing this sort of inhumane act. They will see that they will not be remembered in years to come, their acts will be forgotten in time

I pointed out you left out Texas the 2nd most populated state in America. I'm pointing out now if Texas has low gun crime rate then New York can with or without the gang activity there. So yes it is a simple solution. All citizens armed is less crime. Texas proves it![QUOTE="LOXO7"][QUOTE="worlock77"]
You were claiming that I argued in favor of gun restrictions. I did no such thing. If you wish to debate then I'll thank you to not claim thing that I have not said. If you'll notice my other posts in this thread I've argued against gun bans. You've stupidly been picking an argument with someone who holds a similar point of view on the subject.
New York has New York City, Illinois has Chicago, and California has Los Angeles. Those three cities are the three biggest hotbeds of criminal and gang activity in the United States. They also happen to be the three largest cities in the United States. The reasons why these cities have such high levels of crime are largely due to having such high populations. The reason for crime, however, are complex and cannot be reduced down to such simplistic argument like "gun ban = less crime" or "all citizens armed = less crime".

I know how we can prevent things like this from happening in the future: Make it financially feasible for responsible citizens to get a conceal to carry permit. Off-duty cops aren't enough, we need citizens that want to protect other people to have the means to do so.
With such a relaxation I would totally be for psychological testing to ensure only those people who are mentally fit are allowed to carry concealed weapons.

You speak the truth. I agree with this, espeically the mental health background check. Though I also think people need to know how to operate a fire arm safely before they buy one, I see people at the gun range all the time who have no idea what the hell they are doing, they are going to end up hurting someone or themselves.
Criminals only target places where guns are not allowed, schools and hospitals ect...if there were armed people around and more people were allowed to carry concealed (the safe law abiding citizens of course) criminals wouldn't bother. It would deter crime.
How much would we pay those people to do this? Would it be privatized or a government program?
