There are far worse alien invasion movies out there. I guess everyone should try to have some perspective so for those saying it's absolutely horrible, etc why don't you check out Alien Apocalypse for a comparison. I get that Bruce Campbell movies are probably a cult favorite but from a quality standpoint, I can't see how Battle: LA is worse. I enjoyed it for what it was and had a good time watching it. To be honest I didn't really see any similarities to Independence Day aside from aliens invading Earth. I don't really count that as a similarity, more of a sub-genre. For me, this movie was far more similar to Black Hawk Down (soldiers fighting in the streets) and District 9 oddly enough (alien technology looked similar to me). It seems like people always want to cry out "It's the worst movie ever!!!!" without taking anything else into consideration or looking at actual horrible movies in comparison.

[QUOTE="snakemasterx"]If you don't get angry if you lose when you play games, you are probably not use to winning.Pffrbt

Or, you know, you just don't have psychotic, silly, unreasonable anger issues.

There's always a few people in every thread like this one criticizing everyone else. Just because someone breaks a controller is no indication whatsoever of any supposed psychotic, silly, unreasonable anger issues that someone may or may not have. I highly doubt you have the technical qualifications to ascertain whether or not someone has these issues from a simple forum post.

The TC specifically asked for something you've broken while losing a game. If you're not going to contribute to that topic, then I would imagine it'd be considered going off of the topic at hand.

I've chucked a couple of controllers myself, big deal.

No idea if this movie is going to be good or not but what I do like about this movie is it's inspiration. Quoted from IMDB: "The film is inspired by the real life incident known as the Battle of Los Angeles, during World War II. On the night of 24-25 February 1942, unidentified aircraft were allegedly spotted in the airspace above Los Angeles. Suspecting it to be the Japanese, a blackout of the city was ordered and over 1,440 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition was fired. Upon finding no evidence of the existence of any enemy aircraft, the incident was declared to be a "false alarm". The event has since been chalked up to as being a result of "war nerves", likely triggered by a lost weather balloon and exacerbated by stray flares and shell bursts from adjoining anti-aircraft batteries." Based on that, I'm going to take a chance and watch it this weekend.

And more sex. And there are at least two gay guys....There's probably a bunch more in the closet.

I think I'll pass. :| On whatever the heck it is.

Then you're missing out. It's an awesome fantasy series. If you're not into that genre though, it's cool.

I think a lot of people make way to much money. If wages were a lot more balanced in this society there wouldn't be so much greed and corruption.

XileLord

Greed and corruption would exist regardless of whether or not people are paid equally. No matter what you do, there will always be situations where someone is able to take advantage of someone else. Do you have anything to prove what you're saying?

A few states allow you to conceal handguns without a permit, Arizona, Alaska, and Vermont, I think. I'd assume they'd also allow knives. Furthermore, in a number of states that do issue permits, they also have what's called open carry, that is you can carry certain types of weapons with no permit as long as they are not concealed. At least in the two states I operate in, a firearms permit allows you to carry other "deadly weapons," which are defined by law.

How does the law work if let's say I'm driving from one state that allows guns/weapons into another state that allows guns/weapons, but I have to pass through a state that doesn't allow them (like NY).

There is no US state that "doesn't allow" guns or knives.

Yes, exactly. This is the 2nd amendment. That doesn't mean states do not have the right to place certain restrictions/laws on purchasing and carrying a gun or a knife.

The phone didn't get him out of the ticket, the officers lack of clibration and info needed on his part got him out of the ticket. How did the Android get him out of the ticket? Judge even said that it wasn't because of the Android..

But in a situation where the radar gun is calibrated correctly and the police officer was recently trained, there's the possibility of using that application to get out of a ticket. I think it makes it worth it to go court and plead not guilty over it.

Yes but if a police officer's radar gun is properly calibrated then you WERE speeding and he will have PROOF of it. Who's a judge going to believe, a cop with a radar report or some guy's GPS app on his PHONE?

On a crowded road, it's always a possibility that the cop is targeting someone else and identifying you as the one breaking the law, regardless of how well trained he is. People make mistakes, even cops. That's why I said it makes it POSSIBLE to fight the ticket. I didn't say it was a guaranteed win or anything. Since you can't account for how every judge will react in every possible situation, you can't make your claim with any kind of certainty especially since I'm only stating what COULD happen.

What a nice wall of text.

Pikdum
Nice wall of text? He had paragraphs, pictures supporting his story and it was well written. A nice wall of text would be a big block of writing without paragraphs. Granted it's more of a blog but I think he wanted a bigger audience so he can provide a potential solution to anyone given an unjust speeding ticket.
