?????????????? the list goes on and on, this gen is the best yet.

Its very surprising, after reading all these comments I am positive that most of you have actually never sat down and played through Far Cry 2 or gave the time needed to figure it out.

Honestly its pretty ridiculous how much blind hate this game gets. Far Cry 2 really is a great game and clearly underrated on the forums.

it is just astounding the freedom you have with this game, the environmentis beautiful, the gameplay and weapons are superb....

quite possibly the best game for sniping this gen

the fire and physics are so fun to play with, I mean the tactics are endless.....

example 1:
quietly drive a truck to the edge of an enemy camp, install an explosive, hike up the mountain behind you, set up a nice view point, blow up the truck, pull out your sniper, pick em off as they investigate the explosion

example 2:
sneak up to a village with the wind blowing in your direction, throw a Molotov cocktail over the village, the fire burns towards you flushing them out, pull out your machine gun and let a rip

I once infiltrated a fishing village armed with enemies, silently one by one took them out using my machete and silencer pistol. great stuff

also it is special when you hike a jungle hill to find an ideal sniping location, once you get to the top of the hill you notice the sun setting behind the trees, rays shining on your gun, the lake beneath glistens, complete silence except the sound of a nearby goat rustling in the bushes, you see a bee fly bye, look back through your scope to see your target smoking a cigarette, take a breath, line up your shot, make a clean kill, sneak back into the jungle completely unnoticed as you see the stars coming up in the night sky.

Yeah, except as soon as you shoot, they know exactly where you are and come right after you, they are all also ace shots from 200 yards away with assault rifles.

only good halo game was the first one, the rest sucked....even haze was better then halo 3

Hey peeps so hows Far Cry 2, I only want your opinion if you've played it! I think it looks really good like a different free-roam FPS. Looks interesting, I like how you can aproach missions with different tactics. Looks cool.
