Just to let you know, I thought that the first boss was the hardest in the entire game (the worm things, right?) and it took going back and gaining a couple more levels before I could beat them. Tales of Vesperia is a good jrpg and can be played on easy mode, but the combat in that game is very different from the turn-based style of Lost Odyssey. I'd say try to gain a couple of levels and keep going with Lost Odyssey. It gets easier.

I'll keep my eye out for Tales of Vesperia in the shops next time then - and thanks! I'll just keep mixing techniques on this particular boss, I'm sure the right one will come to me in the end :D

I recently bought my first ever JRPG; Lost Odyssey. After countless defeats on the first boss battle - I kinda feel like I've jumped in the deep end with this genre. Are there any games which work as a good first stepping stone for an amateur JRPG player? Thanks.

Dead Space 1 & 2 are great if you're a horror fan. I'm also very keen on BioShock and its sequel; you could buy those in anticipation for the third! You should also give consideration into Fable 2 & 3.

A childish part of me slightly enjoyed SpongeBob: Truth or Square for the Xbox 360. I'd happily welcome another SpongeBob game; especially one that took on another genre - it'd certainly have its minigames/activities set out anyway! Karate with Sandy, Squidward's clarinet solos, jellyfishing, and of course - partaking in The Great Snail Race. ...Another cartoon I think could get a decent game spin-off is American Dad. The protagonist is already laid out; Stan Smith - a middle-aged CIA agent facing confidence issues with both himself ("Killing Virgin") and his family (his politically hostile daughter Hayley and his disappointing son Steve). This'd unanimously have a dependence on succeeding with a "shoot 'em up" style whilst maintaining the funny twists of the show.

I'm more Christian than any other major religion. I recently read part of a book called The Gospel of Hip Hop (presented by KRS-One for the Temple of Hip Hop), and it's title alone leaves it prone to attack. This really spoke to me though. I still read it on an unfortunately irregular basis, but I do recognise God in my life now - whereas a year ago I don't think I could say that.

It's a bit of a hard question to honestly answer. I could act all righteously and say how I'd fight for those weaker than me, those worse off than me; but when the time comes and the adrenaline kicks, I honestly don't know what I'd do. I'd LIKE to think I'd do the right thing, fight for what's right - but I haven't recently been in any situations where I can put that idea into practice. I don't intend to be in any soon, either.

My favourite album this year is Common's "The Dreamer, The Believer". I'd embed the album art but I don't know how to do that yet haha.

Ah, pretty predictable the time I checked the results. Male, by the way.

catch it before they take it down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBhSdcoQp7s

Thanks a lot for that - I probably wouldn't have had the chance to see it otherwise.

Over here (In the UK), when someone's told to "get a life", it usually means that they are seen as either unsociable or overly academic. People with interests which may be considered 'nerdy' by some are targets of the meaningless insult. I find that the people who use the term, in my experience, are the people that really will have a pitiful life in 10-20 years time; therefore it's best to just laugh it off.
