Sounds like a drive problem. Either it is a dirty lense or the drive has packed in. YOu can get lense cleaning disks fairly cheaply. They are a basic DVD disk with micro fiber brushes on them to clean the lense. I have one and they work great. If that does not work then I'm afraid it sounds as if your disk drive has broken
Sorry I didn't answer sooner I been busy. Looking at the VOIP box you have, have you tried setting up as follows Cable Modem ---- Linksys Router ---- VOIP Modem. You may have better luck that way around
There are some games that although they are the same game, have different names. I would susspect that these are the ones you'd have trouble with regarding achievements. As for game saves, it's difficult to say. I had a PAL console from the UK but I moved to Canada and took it with me. Unfortunately it RROD on me so I had it exchanged for a NTSC console. A few of my games wer not region free but luckily once I'd exchanged them for NTSC copies the saves I had from my PAL games worked fine, as did the achievements. You will have no problem recovering you gamertag to a different region although when you want to renew your live subscription if using a prepaid card make sure it's not a region locked one. You can (believe it or not) get region free pre paid cards. you wont havea problem though if using the original credit card you used to sign up with if that card is still active. With regards the region free games, ignore anyone who says there isn't any and just use the link i provided in an earlier post. Good luck
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-xbox360_compatibility_guide-49-en.html complete list off games that work on ***, usa or european pal consoles. also not sure about the game save issue as some *** versions of games are named differently to us/european counterparts.
The only time I've ever noticed the middle light flash is if I switch off in the middle of downloading content. The content continues to download andthe middle light flashes th let you know the power is still on to the console. Once the download completes it shuts down automatically. I've never seen the middle light flash at any other time though
SP3 sucks. It's a known fault and microsoft have made no mention on any auto fix for it. They have released a fix for it but you gotta do it manually. The fix works as i done it on my friends computer. I'm running Vista so I have no problems but I know a lot of my mates have had this problem Fix can be found here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3262D5BE-EB48-4FB1-AB4A-AF9F22F40166&displaylang=en
Wow, some real bad advice from the first couple posts. Arcade 360's "DO" have an ethernet port. The only difference between an Arcade, Pro, and Elite is the size of the HDD (or lack of one on the Arcade), and the colours. Just plug in the ethernet and you're good to go. Some games allow all features of online play with out the HDD although you wil need a memory card to store your profile and game saves. Although Halo3 will allow online play without a HDD it will only be for custom games and not matchmaking. Your best bet is to try and get one of the 20GB HDD's from microsoft as they are practically giving them away now. You will then need to download at least the free map pack for Halo3 or you wont be allowed to play matchmaking games.
I've seen on other sites and forums plenty of posts with people claiming to have Jasper units. The only safe way to tell is to take a look at the power unit. If it hasa 150w output then it's Jasper. On the same sites and forums, there have been different stories regarding the NXE. Some say it comes with it, some say not. It depends on where you are and fast they go through stock I suppose.
