well someone just about 20 mins ago told my cousin that a phenon 9500 is faster than a q6600 i checked diff sites and it seems that they are pretty close to one another, the last site i went to is tomhardware and it says that the q6600 is better. The first desktop with the q6600 has wifi, wireless mouse/keyboard. The guy that works in circuit city says that the phenon 9500 is better, it doesnt come with wifi, and has wired mouse/keyboard.

the price difference is 20$ at the store, the q6600 is 20$ more and the phenon is 20$ less. Im telling him go for the q6600 and i mean it does come with wifi, and it is just 20$.

what do youguys think? everything else is the same, HD,RAM, dont think the mobo is. but price diff is 20$

[QUOTE="Link2legends"]yeah i would build mine, but my cousin is in california and me in nevada, and does not know how to make one. Also i told him that q6600 is better than phenom 9500 2.2....thats right, right?kodex1717

The Q6600 is a great deal better.

If your cousin is interested in building his computer, there are tons of guides on the Internet. It's far easier than it looks.

I second that

Well I've been searching many sites looking for a gold ds but it seems that it really was limited edition... BUT like many things "limited edition" they arent, so any one know where i can get one, besides online. Or does anyone know if walmarts, bestbuy, or ebgames, still sell them? Thnx

seems ok to me, but yea, you should go with 8800gts 512md. I've read it has better performance than 8800gts 640mb, its somehwere here on gamespot. And what about a monitor? because some people will tell you that resolution matters and that hardware could be a waste.

I don't think it would, it is not designed to run with the forceware drivers and is designed to render 3D scenes not maintain a continuous frame rate.

dlp21

When do you guys think we'll be able to play games with amazing 3d scenes, while maintaining continous frame rates?

I think we are less then a decade away from having real time enviorments rendered at continous frame rates.

Sounds perfect, although i wish it was sooner.
