I thought your post was great and brought up some very valid points. I just have to disagree with one thing: I'm currently in the midst of playing through Bioshock, and it is one of the most fun games I've played so far this-gen. Otherwise, I perfectly understand the fact that games have lost their fun factor. Forexample, I own Gears of War, and it's a good game, but I get bored of it after a couple of online matches, so it doesn't see much playtime.
