Always a difficult question, since I have no idea what kind of games you like. I think it is widely agreed that these games are the best the Gamecube has to offer:

Resident Evil 4

Metriod Prime

Eternal Darkness

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Tales of Symphonia

Pikmin 2

Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door

Resident Evil Remake

Super Mario Sunshine

F-Zero GX

Soul Caliber 2

I would also mention Super Smash Brothers Melee, Super Mario Kart Double Dash and Animal Crossing are great games, but these versions of these games are outdated or soon will be.

It's a must buy. The Gamecube version is great. Don't listen to the haters, just don't expect anything other than a Zelda game.

Pikmin. Great game, but too short. Should have just waited for Pikmin 2.

[QUOTE="TheKungFool"][QUOTE="mario_128gc"][QUOTE="TheKungFool"]

[QUOTE="halofreak3487"]i'd like to see more good games like RE4 ;)x-2tha-z

*rolls eyes*

That bloody average game is by leaps and bounds the most over-rated game of all-time at this point, with the exception of maybe Halo.

Heyy, I bought RE 4 today and cleared only the first chapter and I found it a very good game.... I also got Zelda TP and it was awesome :)

Don't get me wrong friend, I too enjoyed RE4. It is a "very good game", but nobody around here says that. They say rediculous crap like "Its the best game of all time evaaaar!" and whatnot. Its good, Its fun, but its not a "9.6" calibur game, nor is it anywhere close "to the best ever".

I respect your opinion but you are wrong. Anyone with a pair of eyes can see Resi4 is a lot more than just "a very good game".

Halo is another game you think you have the right to devalue. Someone give this guy the plot because he's obviously lost his. Without Halo there would be no Xbox or 360. It defined a generation of consoles and changed the FPS forever. It done all this by being one of the best games ever made.

There are hundreds of people like you on these boards who think their opinion is law when in reality it means nothing. You think it's cool to call these games crap. What games meet your incredibly high standards?

I bet you find Okami dull, Metroid Prime boring, Gears of War generic and Ico weird.

These games are awesome and some of the best games you can buy wheather you like it or not.

Everyone has the right to express their opinion. I don't agree with him either, but he didn't express his opinion with the finality that you did, so you might want to be more careful about who you are accusing of  "people who think their opinion is law".

Anyway, back to the original subject:

I'm having trouble locating a decent copy of Ikaruga.

Yes, Freeloader works, for playing Import GC games of course, since it is a GC disc after all. However it Must be one of the more recent versions, as the oldest version(s) only work on Original Model 1 GCs. It's always best to just get a Action Replay, as they always have the newest Freeloader on it. v1.20 is the newest Action Replay I believe. You simply boot the disc, pick Feeloader (or if you want codes you pick that region game's code(s) and press start), eject the disc and insert the import GC game. S0NICR

Cool. Thank you very much, that was extremely helpful.:)

Hopefully, but im waiting for Pokemon Snap, best N64 game ever. FireEmblem24

Pokemon Snap will only come to the VC after they've run out of good games to release. Starfox 64 seems to be the next logical big release. Hopefully it's upscaned to a higher resolution than the original.

Anyone who was using Freeloader to play import games on their Gamecube? Have you tried Freeloader on the Wii? How does it work?

If the installed base of the PS3 doesn't dramatically increase by the end of this year, I think it's quite possible Final Fantasy XIII will go multi-platform. Even though the Xbox 360 isn't doing so well in Japan, the PS3 isn't doing very well either. Since the Wii is the most popular system in Japan, but a FFXIII port is impossible, you may see Square Enix go for the larger worldwide installed base. Expect to see a PC version as well.
