The PS3 is a useful console. It is always going to be one of the best Bluray players out there b/c it can be updated, it has free online play and a decent game selection. it is head and shoulders better than the Wii even before it moved into motion controls simply b/c the Wii doesn't have many good games.

Unfortunately the amount of great PS3 exclusive games is pretty limited up to this point. It looks like in the next year or two that may change, but so far the Xbox 360 has the PS3 beat when it comes to game selection.

I don't really get the whole argument anyways. Basically real gamers either want a PS3 or an Xbox 360. Which one they want is probably determined by games and since the Xbox 360 has a slightly better game selection and sometimes developers mail in the PS3 version of games leading to framerate issues and worse graphics than the Xbox 360 version. This shouldn't be the case as PS3 graphics should be slightly better, but they usually just aren't.

I own both consoles and I have to say I do play my Xbox 360 a bit more, but anyone saying the PS3 is trash is just an uneducated fanboy. Both consoles have their merits. I would have missed out on a ton of great gaming moments if I didn't own both consoles.

I don't argue with people though b/c it is an exercise in futility. If someone is going to take that position their mind is made up and nothing you say will change it. If you feel you must call them a retard but even then you lose. If you argue with a retard you yourself become retarded.

If we are talking exclusives it would be:

1. Uncharted 2

2. MGS4

3. Demon's Souls

4. Little Big Planet

5. God of War III

Honorable Mentions:

Infamous and Heavy Rain

If we are talking overall it would be:

1. Grand Theft Auto IV (including Episodes from Liberty City)

2. Red Dead Redemption

3. Uncharted 2

4. Dead Space

5. Bioshock

Honorable Mentions:

Assasins Creed 2, BFBC2, Fallout 3, and Batman Arkam Asylum

For anyone who doesn't inlcude Demon's Souls on the PS3 exclusive list you are insane. Anyone who doesn't include Bioshock, GTA IV (including Episodes from Liberty City, Dead Space or Red Dead Redemption on your list you are insane.

Those are ranked by my personal overall ratings. I would have to say my top 3 favorite games not based on ratings, but pure enjoyment and replay value would be:

1. Red Dead Redemption

2. Uncharted 2

3. Dead Space

If Uncharted 2 had as many enjoyable hours or as good of DLC as Red Dead Redemption it would be first, but I probably only played Uncharted 2 for a good 40-50 hours including MP and with Red Dead Redemption and all it's DLC and MP I have played around 60-70 hours.

I don't know why I just love Dead Space so much. Only game that felt truly creepy I have ever played. You really felt alone and it made you imagine what it would be like alone in space and how scary that could be. Great immersive experience.

You really can't compare COD and BFBC2. They are so different. Chances are if you like COD a lot you won't like how slow BFBC2 seems, but if you don't like COD or just think its OK you will LOVE BFBC2.

Personally I prefer BFBC2 over COD MP, but I have been playing more Black Ops lately just b/c its new and I'm addicted to the wager matches.

The styles are completely different though. I think BFBC2 takes more skill to get great at than COD games do. Both games you can step in and be decent in because they are pretty balanced, but getting to where you K/D ratio is over 1.5 consistently and being able to play on hardcore on BFBC2 is MUCH more difficult than reaching the same type of level on COD or even Halo games.

The objective type games in MAG weren't innovative enough. When you have 32 or 64 players in the majority of matches the regular game types just don't work.

If they had some of Reach's big map type games or built on that it would've been a better game.

The fact is just MP in a game isn't worth $60 I can't believe I bought the game to be honest. Really a disappointment.

Black Ops MP 8.5/10 overall

Splinter Cell Conviction 9/10 VERY UNDERRATED GAME! When you add in all the Co-op Missions I am very surpised this game doesn't get more love. It was on my never purchase list, but I was given it as a gift and I eventually worked it into my playing rotation and I am glad I did. This just goes to show reviews don't mean everything.

Fable III 8/10 I don't get all the complaints about this game. It is fun to play and that is what matters most.

AC:Brotherhood 9.5/10 AC1 was a good game, but very repetitive. AC2 fixed everything that was wrong with AC2 and really was very close to being perfect. The only knock I hear about AC: Brotherhood is it is more of the same. Well if it is more of the same of AC2 then that IS NOT a bad thing. If the storyline advance just a little more I would give this game a 10/10. The gameplay, multiplayer, and every improvement or change from AC2 is in a positive direction. The storyline advances just enough to keep you interested the entire time.

When I first heard about AC:B having multiplayer I thought it was a stupid decision. But this is the most unique multiplayer game released in FOREVER and it actually works and is fun. I thought the learning curve would be pretty tough, but it really isn't that bad. I would say it is easier for n00bs to just into MP for AC:B then it would be for the COD series.

Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare 10/10

The DLC for this game is simply amazing for the price. I got the DVD with every DLC so far for $25 today and it was worth every penny and then some. Red Dead Redemption is the only game this year I would give a 10/10 to. Halo:Reach and AC:Brotherhood come pretty close though.

You can play the new slims for hours without having to worry about temperatures high enough to melt plastic. IF your 360 got hot enough to melt the plastic on the oustide of your console the motherboard would be hot enough to warp and you would get an error message long before the outside of your console melted any.

All consoles aren't made exactly the same, but I've tested my 360 S temp. after playing Reach online for 4 hours and it was about 30% cooler than my JTAGGED Xenon after it was only on for 10 minutes. If Xenon's can't melt the exterior plastic then it is IMPOSSIBLE for the 45nm 360 S to.

Had to be something else. You say you are the only person to have access to it, but I find that hard to believe. Even if you lived alone you have to have friends or family over and trust me if they **** up your new pretty xbox 360 they wouldn't tell you.

You guys have NO IDEA what you are talking about.

Let's see....Gimmicks like planes and working out and 1000 different weapons that are all basically the same

OR

A new duck n' cover system for the first time in a GTA game. A REALISTIC story where you aren't king of the world at the end of the game. A great Multiplayer experince. Two almost full game size Expansion's.

GTA IV was just as groundbreaking as GTA III was; just in more subtle ways. The duck n' cover system alone COMPLETELY changed the game. That alone surpasses all the gimmicky things you guys are talking about.

Give me more realism, better shooting mechanics, multiplayer and completely immersing experience that shows a living, breathing city from 3 unique perspectives ANY DAY over a thousand different types of weapons and weight lifting.

Don't get me wrong I loved GTA:SA, but even when it came out I thought the additions were a bit contrived. GTA is a ganster, mob game. Not a gansta, gansta game.

You have Saints Row if you want gang wars and unrealistic rise to city-wide power.

You have GTA for realistic, deep story telling and awesome shooting mechanics.

Seriously go back and play GTA III, Vice City, and GTA:SA then play just 45 minutes of GTA IV. Play through the bank heist mission. Then tell me it wasn't groundbreaking.

I don't get how the duck n' cover system NEVER gets mentioned in these debates. Maybe Rockstar spoiled us.

The only knock I have about GTA IV was the lack of checkpoint system which they fixed in the DLC.

You have to consider GTA IV and the subsequent DLC as a part of ONE GAME. When you do that you have to come to the conclusion that is best so far.

If ONLY becasue of the duck n' cover system and multiplayer. If you add it the awesome, fresh storyline and other little things it's hard not to at least respect it. It will make sandbox games forever better b/c they are no longer just sandbox games. You combine the great storyteling with great shooter mechanics, the cover system, and great multiplayer. Sandbox games have to have all of that now. Not just the ability to do whatever you want whenever you want.

You don't have to agree with me, but at least consider what I am saying before you dismiss it.

I really think that GTA IV will be in Vice City. I would be shocked if it isn't. If they keep going in the direction of the Ballad of Gay Tony and RDR and just come up with a GREAT story, new unique multiplayer modes, and make little cool additions without taking away from the core of the game then it will be an awesome game. I would like to see more variety in some of the missions like in Gay Tony, but if they do DLC again then it will be hard to do that b/c that is SO MUCH content to cover.

You can't expect Rockstar to re-invent the wheel every single game. They have changed gaming forever and created the best game series of all time. They have an awesome formula that ALWAYS creates awesome games. They can make additions to it, but they will never be as noticeable as the jump from 2D to 3D. But if you don't notice the difference between no multiplayer and no cover system between GTA:SA and GTA IV then I can't even talk to you. Those are two HUGE additions we take for granted.

I repair Xbox 360's and have sent more than 20 to Microsoft.

You will NOT get an HDMI console back if you send a non-HDMI console. No chance.

They will either fix your console OR send you another refurbished console of the same type (Xenon for Xenon, Falcon for Falcon, Jasper for Jasper, etc.)

ZERO chance you get anything different back.

I know what you mean. It's hard to play a fantastic game with a great story in-between work or classes. Little Big Planet doesn't really have a story but still has some fantastic gameplay. So that game would be great to play in short periods of time. Demons Souls could become a time consumer depending on whether or not you like the game a lot. Pvt_r3d
Playing games during College was easy. I can't tell you how many days I skipped class to play Halo 2 when it first came out. I'm out of college though and you can't skip work. Not to mention my job isn't your typical 9 to 5 and I work a lot at night. I have the GOTY Edition of LBP which I haven't even touched. To be honest I doubt I would've bought it period, but I got my PS3 Slim on eBay and it came with LBP and MGS4. I thought I would just sell LBP but because I got such a good deal on the console plus games I decided to keep it and after seeing some of the comments/reviews on Gamespot I am glad I did. Right now I am playing some Bad Company 2 online. I have to say I don't get why more people haven't started to play it more than MW2. I think BC2 is superior in almost every way. Don't get me wrong I like the COD series fine and Modern Warfare was my favorite MP FPS for the longest, but BC2 surpasses both of them.

Yeah I want to play the Bioshock series probably more than any of the others, but I want to be able to play them back to back. I also want to be able to play them pretty much straight through so the story won't lose anything in translation because I have heard such amazing things.

The only problem is I don't have time to sink 30+ plus hours into two games right now. I know you can breeze through them on an easy difficulty if you just play the main story quests, but I play all my games on the hardest setting and tend to do most of the side quests along the way.

You guys are making a compelling case though. I'm having a harder time talking myself out of it now. Guess I might just blow all next weekend on them....idk.
