I'd have to say just like film adapted comics....any licensed comics really it's hit and miss. Sometimes the comic in question really nails it and sometimes they fall short and some fail outright.....

I love these games....

My first MK experience was kinda a bad one, I saw the game in a 7 Eleven, some guy was playing it and I was kinda transfixed by it, a fighting game with blood then the Fatality I was floored but the store clerk took offense at me watching this guy play the game......

She goes "if your gonna buy something do it or else leave"

I was like "well maybe you shouldn't have put an arcade machine in the place, besides this is a free country if you hadn't noticed...."

She goes "I'm calling the cops"

I ended up storming out.....cops never found me by the way lolz

I later bought the Sega Genesis version thank gods.....games between my brother and me were legendary......jeez I was a bad influence, I was 16 he was like 8, he never should have been playing that game lolz

Some of this sounds logical and within reach but most of the deal sounds like a bunch of BS.....typical Activision BS.......

Developing a game that achieves a 9.0 especially the first in a franchise is difficult, Mass Effect didn't even get a 8 if I remember and for good reason it was a damn good RPG but the driving bits in the Mako, enemy AI and cover systems were a joke yet among us fans we loved the game......

They never should have gotten involved with Activision.......

The DLC for Tekken Tag 2 might be free but still.....why the hell can't anyone just freaking release a game 100%complete???????????

I do not want to keep buying games at $60+ only to download or spend even more money after the fact for stuff that should have been in the game at launch.....

Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas wasn't so bad on DLC [you can argue about the quality if you want] because it all came after the fact and it was all complete mission campaigns, new NPC's, new weapons and items, new locations to explore and new enemies not $10 for missions you could knock out in less than an hour [ME2] and yeah I know New Vegas had day one DLC, I was kinda annoyed by it....now it just pisses me off royally.....

NO, I'm sorry chopping up the game to any extent so you can do DLC even if it's free is stupid. If you chopped the game up a little and are just giving the extra parts away for free to entice people to buy the game you are stupid.....

just sell the damn game 100% intact, the hardcore fans will want the game anyways, sell to them that's where the money will come from and like anything there will be a few who never played who buy the game as well just to see what it is......All I see of this is a moronic decision everyone is championing......

If it was that they had the game complete and it had already went gold but the team had some last minute ideas, by all means act on that, add extra stuff later, new characters, levels whatever give some away free and sell some of it at small prices but anything sold make sure it's a big pack like 3 characters, 5 maps and alternate costumes all in one pack.....then it doesn't seem like a rip off or a cop out.......

This is why major developers/publishers shouldn't enter the casual market, Games like those on Facebook aren't games they are friend farming games disguised as games and anyone who calls themselves a real gamer won't fall for this crap no matter the franchise.....

Don't believe me, would you play a Facebook version of Super Mario bros?? I didn't think so....

@MafiaInGrid Yeah I kinda forgot about the original PC AVP games. I never played those but I've heard they were awesome. Prometheus looks awesome, I'm looking forward to that as well.

Eh...this is about as bad as when developers announce DLC before the game is even released but nowhere near as bad as knowing you are getting screwed by said developer.....

007 Legends is a good idea but......I honestly wish someone else was making it and Activision wasn't publishing it......

Honestly though I bought Goldeneye 64 all those years ago because it was like the film but offered so much more but the remake didn't feel like it was trying to be part of the Bond franchise.....more like it felt like they wanted to pull Bond into the world of COD.....not the best fit if you ask me.

So yeah James Bond - Greatest Missions sounds like a great idea and if it stands as it's own game and has more stealth action and less 100% bodycount mentality I might give it a whirl but I'm not holding my breath.....

And yes I'm going to see the new Bond flick in theaters because I'm a fan of James Bond not so much the games based on the films......

I'm going to wait for the next Left 4 Dead.....

This just has WTF written all over it......
