@Barighm: Bethesda seems to have shifted to more internal devs making their games and not hiring contractors like Obsidian, I still wouldn't mind seeing em make another Fallout game...

@shulet: hasn't stopped other publishers.....or bethesda in the past, they really had no legal ground to stand on when they sued Notch over the whole Scrolls thing.....

this looks good, i would have chosen a better gun for the demo but it looks pretty good none the less...

I find it so bassackwards that people try and prop this up just cus a couple big name actors are in it when for awhile now Netflix has been making some damn good films like ARQ, Spectral and a few others....

this is the movie that looks amateurish and Spectral looks awesome same with ARQ.....

I'll get hyped when this actually leads to something good.....you really don't need 2 people at the top, just 1 will do, too many cooks and all that....ugh this will probably end about as badly....

@livedreamplay: there is a market for those kinds of games but companies made sure to frack up all these kinds of games and make em unwanted.....

the ones on PSX were mostly copycat THPS style which isn't bad but most didn't do anything to innovate and got forgotten.....

on PS2 we had a few options, Aggressive Inline, SSX, 1080, but then more devs started adding other sports, BMX with Dave Mirra and Matt Hoffman, Surfing with Kelly Slater....I would say what ruined it for Tony Hawk was American Wasteland, fake open ended design, you play as a tool, the soundtrack was lacking [had a few gems in there but was nowhere near THPS4 or THUG], then in gen 7 we got THPS8? proving Ground and a long line of meh games that nobody was playing, they ran the IP into the ground after PG....

with Mirra and Hoffman, Hoffman got what 2 games? and it was over cus they used an older version of the THPS engine so it never had a chance against THUG.....

Mirra did really well for 2 games but then that BMX XXX killed the IP and with Mirra himself taking his name off the title hurt sales more than the content....

at every turn the companies making these games do stupid ass things and don't really develop a proper series that evolves.....look at Skate, they made it hard to even get into, it's hard to play, harder to master, it's on;y fate ever was to be obscure or crash and burn eventually cus they couldn't grow an audience....compare that to THPS, it's easy to play, hard to master and they grew a massive audience but in only a few games ran it into the ground....best thing to do when the dev grows tired is to shelve the IP for a few years and come back when they're refreshed.....publishers never do that anymore for any game....eww where our next hit?? can't let your devs make another IP right? just have to make another in an ailing series?? ugh

anyways, I'd love a real THPS style game with character and board editor.....also park editor....but i also want other games from PS2 era, Timesplitters & Onimusha mainly....

it was the wrong game at the wrong time, offered very little that was different than the other games, it was a MP on;y game in a sea of that crap, it has nothing to fall back on......
