@jergernice1: I pretty much hate what he's turned Bond into, it's not fun anymore, there's no enjoyment to it and even in skyfall it does still suffer from some slowdown and just overly dark themes and world and I get so sick of this crap narrative "after the fall of the soviet union there's no need for spies" fracking BS, there's always a need for a spy and that world cus if it's not the russians then it's the Chinese or the North Koreans or the middle east etc to spy on....it's just how the game is played has changed....but you still need dedicated gadgets, smartphone, gun, GPS tracker, lockpicks [can even be a few bobbypins] and in the car many weapons systems and ECM systems and a trunk full of weapons in a hidden compartment for emergencies....

why is it movies like Kingsman get all this right and everyone else just go serious??? FFS it was Mission Impossible that was always serious, Bond was always fun, they've lost sight.....

@spartanx169x: 100% right on that.....i've said a few times if they were smart when they took the prison they should have fortified it and even turned half of it into a death trap they can control and kill intruders....or wear em down for easy kills....that's what i would have done, plus I would have built suppressors for all the guns so they can shoot and not be heard over long distances allowing em to have target practice every day and keep their marksmanship up....that or reinforce the fences and just allow the walkers to amass so they serve as a barrier....

there's tons they could have done.....

@risingdawn: Camefron knew he couldn't scare anyone as well as Ridley Scott could so he made a cool action flick, the tension was still there though and it had some super tense scenes like Ripley and Newt in the iso room with the facehugger.....

IDK if they centered a movie on a marine & a couple civies v 1 strong alien who's hunting em through a cramped station that would work....you have 1 guy with the guns, and 2 or 3 without guns and when the marine is killed off the horror ratchets up.....

maybe one of the civies knows basic gun handling and is able to use a pistol effectively but is still no match for the xeno.....yeah that'd work, stack the deck up against the survivors, make everyone kinda unlikable but an important mission rides on their survival but this alien kills em all one by one??

seriously why are fans the only ones who come up with the good ideas anymore??

@dragonsama: you can't really change the alien life cycle.....maybe if they had left the franchise alone all these years and simply made another one every 30 years or so that would mean right around 2000 we could have seen the second one following that idea and if each movie was a new interpretation of the horror.....

first it was isolated on a ship, maybe next isolate it on a small space station 50 staff v 3 aliens? visceral death scenes??

then we wait 30 years for 2040 or something and we get the next stage VR terror......we play a VR simulation where each viewer is part of their own simulation and the terror is delivered just for them.....

but then we wait another 30 years 2077 or so and now we're dealing with implanted memories based on data tapes and a paid experience of a alien horror??? heh it's so real it;s like you're really there lolz

@darth_zaramoth: yeah, I'd agree that Alien/Aliens are comparable but really Alien would fit Star Trek or BSG or Babylon 5 or The Expanse universes better than SW cus they're all Sci-Fi and SW is Sci-fantasy.....

I started out loving TWD but by the end of season 3 I recognized the formula and was annoyed at how they were dragging the plots out so I quit.....I really haven't looked back......

they should have remained at 10 episode seasons, no mid season break, just run the 10 episodes and be done and cram as much as you can into em and make it something you watch many times.....I've rewatched S1 3X and haven't rewatched S2 or S3 whatsoever.....that should say a lot......

I've quit a few shows cus i spot the formula and/or cus the show starts to rub me the wrong way....

I'm still at Season 5 cus I've been holding off on catching up cus I don't wanna add yet another show where I'm chomping at the bit to see, i'm waiting for it to end completely then I'll just catch up all at once but I have a decent opinion of GOT....

I'd say Breaking Bad [IDK about stats as it aired] is one of my all time fave shows cus when I watch it I can't stop.....I literally binge the show in a week or so....and I've seen it 5X now...not many shows out there now that I rewatch many times, Star Trek is one [TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT] frack STD though.....

@jergernice1: it was a junk movie though, all based on nostalgia, the plot was weak, writing was a joke, it got some backlash, frack the sales, it was a sh**t movie.......it just duped a lot of people into watching it, it skated cus of the brand.....

@deviltaz35: Eh, it was good the first 5 or so years but has slowly declined since then and with the cancellation of L&O Prime and Criminal Intent and keeping SVU just fracked em in the ass cus we lost the variety, it just went full on into sex crimes and it got repetitive whereas having the regular show and CI there we had normal crimes and investigations and higher level crimes as well....

what makes shows like Chicago PD & NCIS better is the fact they investigate all manner of crimes, CPD has done everything from drug stings, auto theft rings, gangs, murder, high level mob stuff even political motivated and NCIS has done all pertaining to the military but smuggling, cross borders crimes, trafficking [humans, goods, weapons etc], terrorism, murder, AWOL soldiers involved in various crimes etc also they try and show the military in a good light despite the crimes and whenever they do some kind of tribute it's very heartfelt, they really know how to hit the feels and that's a god thing....

naww, SVU started fine and was good for awhile but then it became pointless and boring...I'd say it should have ended at season 10 like L&O Prime did.....it's on season 20 now?? jeez man how long is that shet gonna go??
