[QUOTE="MacDee23"]Specs of your 2007 PC?Hakkai007

Why do you need specs?

You have no clue what you are talking about.

You even though the Xbox 360 CPU is more powerful than the dual core I already listed.

Because, as you are fully aware, your 2007 PC cost alot more than the price of a console. So saying that your 2007 PC runs games better than todays consoles is nothing more than proving my point that PC gaming costs more than console gaming.

And I have as well,

Load of rubbish. That article adds just about every unneeded optional extra plus it is old and outdated. Here is, out the box cost, of playing a brand new game such as need for speed hot pursuit - Xbox Console = 199.99 + Game = 20 dollars = 219.99 PC = 344.90 (which arguably wont run games in 1-2 years time) + Game = 20 dollars = 364.90 Last time i checked, 364.90 is greater than 219.99

And again more fallacy out of nowhere. Why add a annotate is arguable wont run games in 1-2 years? I can say the same for a console. That makes no sense.

I like that you took out my statement in your quote just to make your argument sound more convincing.

You can't say the same for a console. Consoles will always run the newest gamese. Games are designed for them to work with the hardware. PC's get old and outdated to the point where newest games will not run.

Why won't it run games in 1-2 years time?

My 2007 PC is still running games at much higher settings than consoles at much higher resolutions.

The PC I listed will always run games at much higher settings and resolutions than current gen consoles ever will.

You just stepped into a huge mountain of crap, mon. Edit that out or you'll get flamed to death by hardware enthusiasts.

I only deal in facts. If someone proves me wrong, great for them, i have learned something. The people who flame others are no more than idiots not worth talking to. I would FACTUALLY love to see someone who can prove PC gaming is less expensive than console gaming. I am quite convincgly showing that PC gaming is in fact more expensive than console gaming.

The price negates itself.

[QUOTE="MacDee23"]=The 250g Hd is an optional extra. Straight out the box you only need to spend 199.99 dollars to get all newest games working properly on the 360. We are talking about what you need to play games, not what optional extras you get for your money. Out the box, the 360 will set you back no more than 199.99 to play all newest games. edit - also, if your going to be picky, the 360 has a tri-core @ 3ghz. Your PC has a dual core at 2.8 ghz.Hakkai007

OMG I knew you would do it!

I knew you would bring that up!

I got a few laughs from that.

Please study a few things about hardware before you make a post claiming something.

The PC CPU I listed is much more powerful.

Having more cores does not make a CPU more powerful nor does having a faster clock speed.

The 360 CPU is actually pretty weak. It's a lot more closer in performance to an old higher end Pentium 4 HT CPU.

Like I set you are fighting a losing battle that you clearly are not educated enough to understand.

And still your PC costs 145 dollars more than a 360. Which does nothing more than prove the point that to play the newest games, buying a 360 is cheaper than buying a PC.

[QUOTE="MacDee23"]I deleted my post because the specs are about the same. I was wrong. BUT the fact remains your PC costs 145 dollars MORE than a 360. Proving that PC's cost more than 360's. When you can build me a PC that costs 199.99 and can play the newest games at 360 equivilent performance is the day you convince me to change my mind. This is something you seem unable to do.Hakkai007

The 199.99 Xbox 360 only has 4 gigs of storage space.

Compared to the 320 gig hard drive on the PC I just put together.

It would be more accurate to compare the 250 gig version xbox which is 299.99 USD.

[QUOTE="MacDee23"]That was on a PC which had better specs than the PC you built. Point not proven at all.Hakkai007

The specs are around the same.

Please point out the difference.

The CPU is only slightly more powerful but the video you used is using an older and weaker CPU then the one in my build.

You really love to draw straws.

You are fighting a losing battle against someone who knows much more about computers than you do.

Just give up before you dig yourself a deeper hole.

[QUOTE="MacDee23"]He recorded at 12-15 fps. It says in the video. I bought my Xbox 360 September 2009. I understand what you are saying about timeline, but you should have a rethinnk about that. The 360 and PS3 were designed to have a lifepsan of about 10 years. In those 10 years, they will be able to play all the newest games. In 10 years you will need at least 2 PC's to keep up. As for the now, it still stands that a new buyer will be spending 199.99 on a machine that can play the newest games versus a machine that costs nearly double the price and has half the life expectancy.Hakkai007

The video I linked proved you wrong already.

Also the PC I listed will always run games at much higher settings and resolution than current gen consoles.

My 2004 PC can still play current gen games so the life expectancy in your post is wrong too.

Your PC costs 145 dollars more than a 360. You are 145 dollars over budget.
