@Sushiglutton: same. i think it must be an american thing. no matter which side of the fence they're on they can't help themselves. they love it
Macutchi's forum posts
purely through a quality lens its my goty. what a game
Done abit of research on an small church in the nearby village. Looked pretty old.
6th century it's base foundation was built with wood. 12th century stone.
The graves are so old and eroded they aren't in English and barely readable.
Most them them are 17-18th century with a few older ones. Likely bodied underneath these that go back further unmarked.
nice, i like stuff like that. memento mori. you've been playing uncharted on the sly haven't you
@uninspiredcup: yeah sk isn't general audience viewing like tales, which can be enjoyed by anyone of any age. unless things dramatically change this is purely just for kids. whether that was the intent or not is another thing.
the icing on the cake was opening up the disney app to watch it on my tv and being told disney plus is made for sharing only with members of the same household (so why allow seven profiles, where tf do you think i live a college dorm room?) so i had to prove it was my account, which means my little nephews are now locked out. pretty sure my last yearly sub was £110/year. we've said how barren it is for new content. plus, first time ive seen this on disney plus, it started with an ad, amazon prime style. joke.
don't sub for this, pirate the shit out of it, fck em
@Macutchi: So how was Skeleton Crew is worth watching?
i only watched one episode but
doesn't seem to be aimed at adults, more for kids.
it's not like the goonies. the goonies had humour, it had a bit of edge, plus the casting and acting were great. this was different. overly sanitised and vanilla with a younger, blander cast. i read disney had spent a lot on the special fx but they didn't look great to me. there was a bit of a jim henson vibe to the non-human character design.
might watch episode 2, just because of the way it ended, but the first episode had a midweek after school tv show feel to it, i.e. a bit naff, and meant for young kids
i saw it for sale on steam last night, it's on my wishlist, was becoming increasingly tempted after your op, until i read this lol
Yeah, definitely not for everyone. I only spent a few hours with it before moving on
@uninspiredcup: might binge ahsoka and tales whilst im off over xmas. don't know if you can call tales a binge, you could do a season in just over an hour. might try obi wan again and see if it's as bad as i remember.
@last_lap: i remember downgrading from gamepass ultimate when i decided i wasn't going to use it for pc and being shocked at just how few games were left. had re-sub to ultimate
I think Starwars has reached an all time "who gives a shit", Skeleton Crew will be released in a few hours and nobody cares.
forgot about it until i read your post. i might try it. got day of the jackal and the new dune show on my radar, might add skeleton crew to it. you never know, they can't stink the place out every time, can they? actually don't answer that.
been watching dexter on the side, trying to get the timing right so i land on new blood by mid december (it's set at xmas in the snow so i thought it'd get me in the festive mood lol). forgot how tough going some of the later seasons are
We got Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos theory in a span of like 4 years.... About half as long as it takes a modern day Sony first party studio to screw up a live service game.
Those were special times.... Then we got drunk on prettier trees and frame rates and now AAA gaming is too expensive and not as good... 😔🤷
Edit... Sorry, there were 3.5 years between SC1 and Chaos theory.... Literally 3 bangers in three years.
they were special times man. simpler times. we were spoiled back then and didn't realise it.
The Xbox version of Double Agent is basically a sequel to it.
Ignore the next-gen version, it's trash.
i'm positive it was me who told you that and tipped you off about it ages ago lol... 🤔
in the first couple of hands on previews we saw, both reviewers said it felt like thief 2014. that's really not a good sign. it looks basic. lacking in agency. faux stealth. awkward melee. it wouldn't surprise me to see it score 7s, maybe less
