December 19

Added Dakota Fanning and Alfonso Ribeiro to the list of NTACs who've been called all-time greats by reviewers on this site. Who's next--Paris Hilton? In other news I'm now a General Lee at Level 42.

December 17

With the addition of William Hopper I now have 21 people guides. I just realized that eleven of the 21 are dead and of the live ones Nehemiah Persoff and Bruce Gordon are in their mid to late 80's. I guess somebody has to edit the dead people because Lisa Gansky has the editorship for seemingly all the live ones. LOL. I should pick up Paul Picerni and Elke Sommer sometime next week. I have enough submissions for both of them. And they're both still alive.

December 15-Addendum

Just for laughs (or tears as the case may be) I thought I'd keep a running list of some of the NTAC's listed by TV.com reviewers as all-time greats. Here's the first batch: Ty Pennington Tom Green Stephanie La Grassa Lou Diamond Phillips Dakota Fanning Alfonso Ribeiro Stacey Farber David Kaufman Tara Strong Colby Donaldson Mark Harmon Seth Green Jeff Probst Bruce Willis Jo Frost Wayne Knight Jason Anthony Griffith Kristin Bell Marg Helgenberger David Caruso Kelly Clarkson Note: I'm going to omit James Gandolfini because while he's not an all-time great IMO he's not a NTAC either and he could still become an all-time great (although that's unlikely in my book).

Just got through reading some more person reviews. Now it's Ty Pennington who's an all-time great according to some reviewer. That's enough to make me pull out a pistol and shoot out my computer screen. Just like Elvis used to do whenever he saw Robert Goulet appearing on his television set. It's bad enough that Tom Green is considered an all-time great but Ty Pennington absolutely boggles my mind. I may have to take some time off this site because of this one. Excuse me while I have a nervous breakdown.

Now is as good a time as any to discuss one of my pet peeves on this site. It has to do with person reviews and calling some no talent assclown who's been in show biz a few years and had a show or two an All-Time Great. I just went to the first two pages of the Editor's Choice person reviews and there were five people listed as all-time greats by reviewers. Two of them I agree with: Dick Van Dyke and Barbra Streisand (can't stand her politics but her career has stood the test of time). The other three (Tom Green, James Gandolfini, and Stephanie La Grassa) no way in hell. La Grassa is a contestant on some reality show and now she's supposed to be an all-time great. Get real whoever wrote that review. Note: I won't post your name to save you the embarassment. She isn't even one of the better reality contestants. Green is a comic who's had a couple of shows on various networks that nobody watched. Plus he got married to and divorced from Drew Barrymore. Yeah, I guess that qualifies him as an all-time great. Note to reviewer: Richard Pryor, George Carlin, and the like are all-time great comics not some NTAC like Tom Green. Last there's the case of Gandolfini who is a good actor and he's had a hit show. He'll always be remembered for his role as Tony Soprano but what else has he done? I'd qualify him as talented or personal favorite but not all-time great. Maybe if he has another hit show besides The Sopranos or makes a couple of hit movies then he'll approach all-time great status. But now right now. Anyway, that's my rant. Much longer than my usual blog but I felt I had to say something after reading those reviews. Tom Green an all-time great my a$$.

Should pick up five more editorships once my submissions are moderated. They did a few yesterday but not all of them. I should be picking up the following: Peter Falk Lee Van Cleef Pamela Sue Martin Barbi Benton Sydney Greenstreet Pretty eclectic group. From two former Playboy models to a TV legend to two legendary movie villains one of whom probably never made a television appearance in his life. Still, he had a page here at TV.com so I decided to go for the editorship.

December 12-I'm Somebody Now

Finally reached Level 40. I'm somebody at TV.com now. Probably should have been here sooner but why cry about that now that I've arrived? Anyway, it's good to be in elite status and I'm going to keep rolling until I reach Level 50. Weather and health permitting. LOL.

December 10

Did enough submissions today to pick up the editorships for Peter Falk and Lee Van Cleef once they're moderated. Looks like I may have to PM Missribs again. Hope she isn't getting sick of me. Still Level 39 but inching ever closer to that mystical Level 40. When you reach that you know you're somebody around here.

December 9

I see that they ran the Level Updates early today. They usually wait until the afternoon (if you're on Eastern Standard Time like me). I'm now at Level 39 (37%). Only picked up one more person editorship---for Brittny Gastineau (ugh!). Hey, I already had the mother so why not get the daughter too? Made two more submissions to the Santa Claus guide this morning after having six approved yesterday.

December 8

Picked up the editorships for Lee Marvin and Maren Jensen this morning when they ran the CP update. That makes 13 people for whom I'm editor. Lisa Gansky, you'd better look out. I'm gaining on you. LOL.
