After taking a few days away from this place to attend to some personal business I'm hereby serving notice of my return.  Look out TV.com staff.  You're in the crosshairs now.

Picked up the editorship for the above-named show yesterday.  It was a precurser of sorts to The Untouchables in that it was filmed at Desilu Studios and featured Untouchables narrator and famed gossip columnist Walter Winchell.  Most of the episodes had crime storylines and The Walkout even features a pre-Untouchables appearance by none other than the legendary Bruce Gordon.  Sure wish there was some way I could get a hold of an episode of this series along with The Manhunter and The Roaring 20's.  I've got 18 episodes of The 87th Precinct along with a DVD of the first season of The Lawless Years on the way.  It makes it easier to be an editor for a guide when you can actually view a few episodes and get the overall flavor of the series.

Just bought the first season of one of my guides, The Lawless Years, on DVD.  Now I only have to buy a DVD player.  It's a dog's life.

I wish to commend TV.com on one thing.  They've gone at least two days without posting a news story regarding perky Katie Couric and her attempts to revive the CBS Evening News. For that they are to be applauded so let's give them three cheers.

Yesterday it was the Level 0 bug.  Today, the notorious WSoD makes its return.  What will it be tomorrow?  Stay tuned.  Same bat time.  Same bat channel.

Well, it appears as though the Level 0 bug has struck again.  Over 15 months and they STILL can't fix it.  Let's have a big Bronx cheer for everyone involved.

So I sit back to watch the premiere of Monday Night Football on ESPN between the Vikings and Redskins and what happens?  Yep, there's those two idiots, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, sitting in the box of Redskins owner Dan Snyder and ESPN keeps cutting to them the entire game.  I nearly lost my dinner.  Doesn't Katie Holmes have a baby to take care of somewhere?  Hasn't Tom Cruise been shoved down our throats enough?  In the immortal words of David Allan Coe:

I decided to retire from a bunch of my person guides yesterday thus bringing the number down to a more manageable level.  Maybe if the staff sees I don't have so many they'll stop being so crass with my submissions.  Or maybe not.

Memo to whoever selects the news stories for this site:  NO MORE KATIES!!!!!  Please put a moratorium on all items regarding Katie Couric and Katie Holmes.  I'm sick of them.  We're all sick of them.  I know the TV.com family is with me on this one.  NO MORE KATIES!!!!
