As much as I love the Wii, dude, this thread fails.

For the Wii:

- Super Paper Mario comes out this week

- SSX:Blur if you like snowboarding/X-sport games

For the 360

- Oblivion

- Gears of War

For those that own a Wii or want to own one:

What 'dream' does the Wii fulfill for you? That is to say, have you ever wished that you could have a video game peripheral that DID something, and now it is possible on the Wii. For me, the idea of holding my controller and using it as a sword in the game is pretty much a dream come true since the 8-bit days of SMB and Mega Man (though the Wii has yet to come out with a solid sword-fighting game. :()

For those that don't own a Wii and/or hate the Wii:

"The Wii gives me...."

- a headache

- a hernia

- syphilis

- etc.

are all fine answers, but at least try to be imaginative.

Best FPS of all time because of what it did for the industry?

- DOOM: it started it all

- Quake: began the 3D revolution

- Half Life 1: storyline+shooter was now a viable option

- Unreal Tournament: made online FPS teh awesome!

- Deus Ex: hybrid PFS with many clones to follow

Best FPS for me?

- Probably Unreal Tournament

One thing that has really impressed me about Sony is that since PSOne they have always been faithful to the owners of the past system, even for years. This is what happened on the PS2 (though backwards compatability was a big thing back then which made a lot of PSOne owners say, "What the heck? Why not buy a PS2?") and this is what is happening now with the PS2/PS3.

We are seeing excellent games like Shadow of the Collossus and God of War II being released for the PS2.

People decry Sony as being "money hungry", but I think that this kind of shows the opposite to be true, since they aren't "forcing" anyone to buy the PS3 to play favorite games (FF XII, God of War II)

I can't say the same about Microsoft, who could have easily released Halo 3 on the original XBOX.

I would apply the same label to Halo 2 for the XBOX: fun in a social environment but (single player) gets old very quickly.

Well, my opinion too. Case in point, both Wii sports and Halo 2 have recieved a lot of acclaim and a lot of popularity.

I agree, but I also see alot of cows who say NGS is a system seller but thats been out for over a year

NGS wont sell systems because the Playstaion is already saturated with Hack'n Slash,

360 lacks party games and Guitar Hero 2 is the King of Party Games.
