Say, (last gen) if a PS2 owner stuck it through with their system when XBOX was having it's hayday with Halo and KotOR, holding out for other exceptional games such as God of War II or Shadow of the COllosus, does that make them "fanboys" if they still prefer their system over the XBOX?

And how was Gears of War "downgraded"? Would you consider "faster frame rates" to be a downgrade.

Um, I hope those aren't your own personal predictions. If they are, that's just sad...

Resistance is no GeOW killer, and the last Killzone sucked and sold very poorly. Why would it kill a game that has had 2 major hits in the past 6 years?

I didn't say gore has ANY bearing on quality, I said the Wii is dissuading devs from developing for hardcore gamers and are instead focusing on the lowest common denominator.

The Wii just has different "crap" games than the other consoles. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the Wii is "Wii is dissuading devs from developing for hardcore gamers" by coming out with some of the games that they do. Think of all the crap, clone RPGs that came out for the PS2 or all of the crap shooters/racers that came out on the XBOX. Crap games reflect what the main player base is, not necessarily the "quality" of the company.
