[QUOTE="wis3boi"][QUOTE="Click_Clock"]Smartphones and Tablets will replace traditional desktop PCs. All PC manufacturers are going mobile and Intel is putting a lot of its resources into mobile chip. Desktop PC (teh one with the tower) will become a very small ninche market.

If the computers in the 1940s were the size of rooms, why do we still have comptuers the size of rooms if technology "keeps getting smaller and more mobile"? Because there is a place for both. An office building isn't going to have people doing graphic design, programming, accounting, etc on a phone or tablet.
This delusion of eveything going mobile is laughable.
Exactly and this is what people who think desktops will be replaced soon don't seem to get. So if we get a tablet with todays high end gaming PC processing power and it still copes with the heat/power consumption, why not stick 5 of those tablet's innards into a full size case with a load of fans and as much power as you could need? That is simplifying things alot but whenever a new compact device is touted as the end of PC gaming it is retarded, you can squeeze as much technology into a tablet/smartphone as you like, for those of us with the space we can always have superior hardware. You realize PC gaming makes up about .5% of all PCs right? AMD, Nvidia and Intel make the most money off laptops, Tablets and phones then High End Desktops. You do not realize there is a huge shift towards mobile. Be dulisional and think that you are the center of the universe or grow a brain and realize desktops will be irrelevent in 7 years or less.
