Fremskrittspartiet isn't right-wing. Conservative liberalism (which is what they are) is a variant of liberalism, not conservatism. th3warr1or

It is - a conservative, right-wing liberal party is a right-wing party. Not to mention that the guy was a nationalist and anti-immigration. In other words, if the American Tea Party was Norwegian, this guy would likely support it.

Not that his politics matter in the light of what he has done, but it is sad how some will not accept that a conservative Christian is responsible for this and instead try to blame it on other groups.

Yes, most Metalheads lack any sort of taste. As far as generic scenemetal goes, waking The Cadaver is pretty good. Nothing unexpected though. Good Gridn influences, but stereotypical in every way. clip does wonders for it though :D.Daavpuke

You like WTC and claim that metalheads have no taste?

So much ignorance in this thread. Britain, like any other place, is just a piece of land. No one should have the right to ban cooperating people from living on this piece of land just because they were born somewhere else. One of the main problems for England right now is not immigration, it's the low level of education.

Racism and selfishness is bad no matter what colour your skin is or what you believe in.

i wasn't saying it's bad music. you said i called it a "dump genre", i didn't mean to dump **** on the quality of the music. i enjoy thrash, that's where i started with metal and guitar playing. structurally and rythmically simple music can still be enjoyable by all means, i just disagree when i hear someone say that thrash is overrall a technical genre of music.

trenno2529

There are many thrash metal bands who play technical and quite complicated music so I certainly don't see anything wrong with using the term technical thrash.

you misinterpreted what i said. i wasn't implying that thrash is a dump genre, how you came to that conclusion is beyond me. would you deny that the majority ofthrash metal is simple and repetitive?

i didn't realise that protest the hero were so popular, they're pretty much unheard of among my musical community. it took quite a bit of effort to get my hands on their cd's, i assumed they were somewhat obscure.

trenno2529

How I came to that conclusion? Come on now....

it would be hard to get any dumber than thrash. it's hard to find a simpler and more repetitive type of music.trenno2529

I didn't misinterpret anything because that is exactly what you wrote.

Anyway, for me thrash is not really repetitive but I can see why for someone else, who doesn't enjoy it as much as me, it may be. If you dig deep enough though you will find many unique bands.

 This whole thread is so full of silly posts that it's not even funny any more.

tormentor313

yeah really its like people are confusing thrash metal for hardcore punk or groove.

Generalizations are not good, hardcore punk and groove may not be technical but that doesn't mean they are not intelligent sub-genres.

care to elaborate? if i'm going to apoligise for my unbr00taln3ss, i need to know what i've done wrong.

trenno2529

You are just ignorant, that's all. Thrash is not a dump genre at all and Protest the Hero is popular not obscure.

TC, once you've listened to all the bands mentioned for an introduction and you might wanna listen to something obscure yet brilliant, try protest the hero.

trenno2529

And I still refuse to acknowledge Tech Thrash as an actual genre, its like the biggest oxymoron since Prog Metalcore.

We already have a thread for this HERE.

Someone should lock this and re-open the old one... why was it even locked anyway?

[QUOTE="Juggernaut140"]Go hang out in the forums for a while ragek1ll589

That and the fact that users give albums 0% ratings and don't give a valid reason.

For example: Review of Dimmu Borgir's In Sorte Diabloli: "This **** is totally *** and Dimmu needs to die - 0%"

Just because a single individual gives a 0% rating doesn't mean the whole website is elitist. Plus, negative and biased ratings like that are common on other websites as well, not only MA.
