If the games industry was at the point at which layoffs from Zynga will "end the U.S. game market as we know it", the market would have already been dead.
I find it amusing console companies feel the need to say this every time their new console comes out. Its not as if someone who thought the price tag was too high to begin with will read this and suddenly go: "Oh, well in that case..." Even for those on the fence, this isn't a very persuasive argument for buying a console.
Perhaps, but I doubt they have the manpower to do that, putting aside the fact they have a long standing friendship with Sony. Naughty Dog are definitely perfectionists, so nothing would be released on other platforms if it couldn't stand up to their PS3 original.
Many of these games definitely blend Gamespot's "5 flavors of fear". It's hard to have a good horror game that simply has abrupt scares with no tension or psychological factors and vice-versa... I too believe this list should be expanded, there are so many missing!
1. Resistance 2. Tony Hawk 3. Motorstorm 4. Assasin's Creed 5. Oblivion 6. Half-Life 2 combo pack thing 7. FFXIII 8. GTA IV 4 of those aren't exclusive, I know, but I want those games specifically on the PS3....... But I can agree with you on some of the things there. I decided a while back though that I was going to get the PS3 over the Revolution or the Xbox2. (yeah, thats how long ago I decided and i'm stubborn)
