Their Service is absolutely atrocious. First off they charge about $17.00 for a MEDIUM Pop and Low-Grade Popcorn, whereas the other Theater in town only charges about $11.00. Not only that but it's an extra $1.50 if you want Butter, and ANOTHER $1.50 if you want Butter again on a refill. (Shouldn't the refill on Butter be included at $17.00 per Concession?) and $3.00 EXTRA for 3D Movies.

Accessibility in the theater stinks. Some theaters, the wheelchair seating is crammed right up against the screen. Not literally but I'm sure people here know what I'm talking about. It's a ploy to get as many people in the theater as possible. I wanted to go see Avatar in 3D a couple of weeks ago but it was all sold out. I was all by myself and being in a wheelchair, I told them, "I don't need a seat in the theater, why don't I just give you the money and park in one of the unused accessible seating areas?".Not like I would want one of the theater seats anyways... My Mom and Dad tell me they are so uncomfortable it's hard to watch the movie. Their response was that I might block the Entrance/Exit.Well then what the heck is the accessible seating area there for when a paying customer uses it!?

Now for the GOOD stuff. Absolutely NO Matinees between Monday and Thursday. I wanted to see a Movie with a friend of mine today. Almost left for the bus stop before my friend phoned me up and said Matinees were only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I tried to phone up the Cineplex Theater, the Box Office was closed, the Manager wasn't available, nor was the General Manager. Tried phoning Head Office in Toronto to ask them and Customer Service there was also unavailable. I don't mean long hold times, I mean one of those Voice Mailboxes you leave a message on and nobody returns your call. Not only that, but the Landmark Cinemas 5 minutes away from the Cineplex has SEVERAL Matinees during the week. Geez they must be tearing the Cineplex apart in terms of local competition.

In short... For the price I pay at the Cineplex, they really need to get their **** together. Anyone else out there have problems to share with Cineplex/Famous Players Theaters?

What are some every day things lacking common courtesy that you see or hear that bother you? Not by you, but by your neighbors, or people you don't even know? (Explain why they annoy you too.)

Here are some things that bother me.

1. When a neighbor of mine starts plugging away with his chainsaw at 8:00AM. Just because you're an early bird doesn't mean you have to wake up half the neighborhood.

2. When a mother or father brings her 6-month old baby into a movie theater. Especially for a movie not suitable for young children.

3. When I see someone park in a handicap stall with a sticker, step out of their vehicle, and walk perfectly across the parking lot. They're reserved for a reason you know...

Does anyone in here know anything about condenser microphones? I'm looking at a Microphone from Shure, the PG42, but there is a USB Version and a Non-USB Version. I'm just wondering what the difference is between using a USB Version and using an Audio Interface

Entries in a dog's journal:

8:00 am - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

9:30 am - OH BOY! A CAR RIDE! MY FAVORITE!

9:40 am - OH BOY! A WALK! MY FAVORITE!

10:30 am - OH BOY! A CAR RIDE! MY FAVORITE!

11:30 am - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

12:00 noon - OH BOY! THE KIDS! MY FAVORITE!

1:00 PM - OH BOY! THE YARD! MY FAVORITE!

1:30 PM - ooooooo. bath. bummer.

4:00 PM - OH BOY! THE KIDS! MY FAVORITE!

5:00 PM - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

5:30 PM - OH BOY! MOM! MY FAVORITE!

Entries in a cat's journal:

DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another house plant.

DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.

DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan.

DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time, however, it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid? My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.

DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise. More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured. But I can wait; it is only a matter of time......

Now, which would you rather have? :P

Any of the Old Spice commercials are good candidates. Jolly good fun.

Mercury_May2112

How can you possibly think this is cheesy?!?! :o

I saw this in the movie theatre today and the whole audience was laughing. That commercial is awesome and doesn't deserve to be in this thread.
