Luckily I didn't pick this one up. I was about to, but the store clerk warned me it was bad and I listened. There are loads of other great games at launch right now and deciding what my first titles should be was very hard. In the end, I opted for Nintendo Land, Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed.I'd like to add that I'm very SHOCKED at how good Nintendo Land actually is!
@CMakaCreative I would think that LIVE will carry over. But I doubt the $99 deal will carry over for the next console if you're already in a contract for the last.
@exedeath Have you seen the commercial? Where is the likeness? Because I don't see it. Kevin Butler's character is a "Company Executive" with endless layers of sarcasm. Where is that in the commercial? Bridestone casted a "Tire Technician" without any references to Kevin Butler OR his demeanor what so ever. Jerry Lambert also played a small part in the movie Bad Teacher. His character in the movie is closer to Kevin Butler than Bridgestone's commercial was. So should Sony being suing Columbia Pictures as well?
@brxricano Indeed they do!I'm certain there's someone at Sony HQ telling them that suing Bridgestone is a bad idea. If I was a Juror hearing this case, there's no way Sony would be able to convince me that the character in Bridgestone's commercial is Kevin Butler. Other than the fact that they are using the same actor, I just don't see even the slightest evidence.Sony does not own Jerry Lambert. Only the Kevin Butler actor he plays.
But you know, I've seen this commercial and Bridgestone doesn't use the Kevin Butler name, or ANYTHING related to the character. You can find the video on YouTube and see for yourself under "Kevin Butler Exposed". You'll see clips of both characters Kevin Butler at E3, and the nameless Bridegstone Technian that Jerry Lambert is playing. Personally, I saw no likeness to the Kevin Butler character what-so-ever in Bridgestone's commercial. None. It's just two companies using the same actor. Further more, there is NOTHING in the commercial to indicate that the technician Jerry is playing is in fact Kevin Butler.
I'll say this though: If Sony is serious about trying to sue Bridgestone over this, they better be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that they will come out on top. Because if they lose, they stand to cost themselves alot money. And that is the absolute last thing they need right now.
