Funny how none of you xbox supporters cared when myself and others brought this up last gen regarding how x360 used to get favored by all the media. The ps3 was their system to hate. Kinda like politics in America... everything Obama gets praised and twisted to insane levels of "greatness" by the extreme left media (which is almost all Big Media), and the only alternative is the extreme right fanaticism, there is no middle ground (or party, at least in America, Europe has that at least)... sucks and I have been saying it for years...

Agendas will always be around...in the web that agenda is money, and in some cases social issues that have no place in game reviews.

Holy shit!!! i am actually agreeing with you on something.... (well I don't think the site is in shambles...much better than last gen where xb360 was first in the menu up top and a clear bias was had)... Although the site was much better in Gen 6... way more pc content. Of course pc actually had great AAA exclusives back then that weren't stupid mobas or early access games.

The thing I agree with is about Kasavin... that guy rocked as a reviewer. Was fair and didn't favor any platform. He gave out detailed reviews with ZERO of that bs politically correct SJW hipster speak. I don't come to a game site to read about stupid social issues I don't have one care for. I come for the game reviews... and he used to break it down so well. I particularly remember his Morrowind review

That guy knew his shit and wasn't trying to be flashy or hipster like cough (ign - screaming into the mike and flashing half naked women on the screen just for clicks).

MGS4 deserved that 10 - way more than GTA4 (damn gta4 was so horrible!) ... its what got me to buy a ps3 last gen (was pc only at the time as ps2/xbox gen I skipped, only to buy a ps2 later down the line)

@ten_pints: yeah i never understood the love for this game. Got it in 2007 when it released for windows, and never beat it... just got bored. Clunky steroid dudes with speakers on their chest was way over hyped by last gens.dude.bros.

The calling out of MGS4 for cutscenes was mostly Xbox 360 fanboys bitter about not being able to play the game. When it was getting 10/10 yeah they were very very mad. That's where the whole "cutscene" shit came from. MGS2 had a lot... but it wasn't complained about... what was complained about 2 was playing as Raiden.. I remember some sites making fun of him having no shirt at one parts... the stupid xplay review for that game was so bad..

MGS has always had cutscenes, its part of what makes MGS. Xbox gamers last gen used it as a backlash.. Real fans loved MGS4. To me it goes right after 3, as 3 was incredible.

MGS3 > MGS4 > MGS2 > MGS1 > PW > MG1 > MG2

In the past I would of put MGS1 much higher but it hasn't aged well.

You are correct... especially on ps4 where installing form disk can take less than a minute, and some games will start even when it's not all installed. Redownloading a 40gb game could take hours though. Big difference.
