So far all the games that are being advertised for next year for the 360 are single player games. Lost Odyssey, Alan Wake, Banjo Threeie, Dark Sector, TOO Human, Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden 2. At first glance you might look at those games and think to yourself "Those titles will be amazing, whats to worry about?" BUT one thing all those "Great" titles have in common is NO MULTIPLAYER! This really worries me as a huge online multiplayer fanatic!! So far not any good Multiplayer oriented games have been announced for next year.

I know its still a few months away until next year but still, MS should atleast announce some games for next year, multiplayer games. The reason I own a 360 is becasue of the tremendous multiplayer gaming it offers with such games as Gears, Halo 3, COD 4 etc . I remember when Gears was first announced it was a year before the 360 was ever released! You would think if MS had some Huge multiplayer oriented game, they would have announced it by now. I pray to God Gears 2 comes out next year, This is in no way an attempt to bash the 360 because i love every second of my 360 but please MS.. ANNOUNCE SOME MORE KILLER ONLINE GAMES!

Time and time again I hear people say stuff like "Well the PS3 is selling at a better rate than the PS2 did in the same time frame" or "The PS3 is selling more a month than 360 did in the same time frame" We all know thats ridicolous, im 24 years old and I was around during the start of the PS2 era and PS2 launch, and one HUGE Difference about the PS2 and PS3 is.. Consumer interest, sure the PS2 might not have picked up in sales until 2 years down the road BUT on the other hand everywhere you went all you heard was PS2 talk and how bad people wanted one. Now when you talk to the average joe and mention the PS3 their automatic response is always something like "Its just so expensive though" or "What games are out for it"

Whenever someone Mentions the 360 to the average joe the first thing they say is something like "Man Halo 3 is going to own" or "I played Gears at a friends house and I MUST get a 360 its so awesome" Pretty much the point of this thread is you can compare numbers and historical data all you want but the fact remains is the PS3 is lacking the consumer interest that 360 currently has. I hate to say this speaking as a former hardcore sony fan, but the PS3 wont get better from here.

Yea Gears is very addicting. I have to play a match before I go to bed and get atleast 10 kills in a 10 round warzone game for me to feel good about myself, i know sounds a bit.. insecure but oh well lol

Speaking as a owner of both PS3 and 360 I must say that 360 has this gen down right. Everything MS touches pretty much turns to gold as far as good games are concerned. its been nearly a year later and my PS3 gets played once every 3 weeks and yes I have warhawk. But Gears, Madden 360, Halo 2 and COD 4 Beta take up most of my gaming hours and I play my 360 on a daily basis. I remember back when the PS2 came out it came out with good games every couple months like 360 is, as much as a lot of you may hate to admit, the 360 is the more fun console.

this might sound kind of weird, but some days i wont be in the mood for video games but no matter what I still play my 360 on a daily basis. There will be some days that I wont be in the mood whatsover to play Gears but I have to hop online and host a match or with Madden 08 im not in the mood to play it but i have to get on and play anyway. Any other gamers out there play games even when they dont feel like it?

Speaking as someone that was in the Halo 3 Beta and is currently in the COD 4 Beta my opinions on the two games are as follows

Halo 3 Beta-, Gameplay felt very balanced and smooth, Graphics where very clean and nice also although not that much upgraded from Halo 2 but still looked very nice nonetheless. Valhalla was a horrible map and very boring. Snowbound was really good and EXCELLENT For "Crazy King"(King of the hill match) and ofcourse last but not least High Ground, By far the best map out of the three and I think I speak for the other Beta testers on that one. Overall Halo 3 felt very smooth and polished, gameplay was fun, weapons smooth, great matchmaking system. overall I give it a 9.0

COD4 Beta-Excellent Frame rate at a very smooth 60 FPS. From the moment you are at the start screen and you press the "A" button and select the Xbox live option from the main menu and the moment you hear that awesome voice say "Lets Do This" you know are you in for a very very engaging, intense and amazing multiplayer game. Sound effects so good that if you listen to black hawk down on Surrond sound and you go back and play COD 4 on surrond sound, you will not be able to tell a difference, Im even going to say that COD 4 sound effects sound a bit better than Black Hawk Down movie, yes they are that good! The Map "Overgrown" is by far the worst map, vacant is ok and Crash is amazing. Infact Crash is one of the best FPS multiplayer maps ive ever played. Overall the game could use some work in the balancing department and needs work with clipping. the weapons feel real and smooth and everytime you get promoted it feels extremely good and highly addicting and overall COD 4 is downright amazing. My score- 9.5

so there you have it. A completly unbias opinion on both Betas.. Discuss

I was thinking earlier today while bored out of my mind at work and it hit me.. NFL Fever for the Xbox was a very solid football game, Infact I liked the gameplay and the overall feel of the game better than madden. Since no more NFL 2k series, Microsoft definiatly needs to bring back the NFL Fever games, those games where very solid and could be great if they polished up the gameplay and graphics some and made one for the 360. Lets face it, madden is good but its not as good as it wants to be and EA knows there isnt other competition for football games so they are getting sloppy with Madden
