Like it or not you have to admit that the 360 saved gaming. Just think about it for a second, lets say if the only 2 consoles out on the market was Wii and PS3, just imagine how downhill the gaming industry would go! I mean what a disaster, either choose between a Console with "cutesy" kid games with a motion sensing controller with no online multiplayer heavy games such as the Wii, or a overpriced console that has technology noone needs nor wants with hardly any games to play such as the PS3. Then you have the 360, a console with amazing online, amazing game line up, a console that churns out AA-AAA games almost on a monthly basis! Not to mention acheievment points and Xbox live arcade with all the greatest old school hits!!

I mean look at what Microsoft is acheiving with the 360. THey are giving us New IPs left and right and most of them are AA-AAA. Games such as Halo franchise, Gears,Mass Effect, Bioshock,Crackdown,Lost Planet, Skate, Etc!! If it wasnt for the 360 we would either be playing rehashed 20 year old mario and zelda games or 10 year old rehashed Final fantasy, MGS and Ratchet and clank games, while those games are great, MS is giving us NEW and Fresh stuff!

Sure Microsoft has its faults as does the 360 but you have to admit that Gaming would be a disaster without the 360!! The way I see it is like this.. The PS3 is the appetiezer before the meal, kind of teases you and holds you over for just a little bit, then comes the 360, its the whole nine yards lobster and all and the Wii is more like dessert. Sure people like the dessert and good appeteizers but people go out to eat for one main reason.. The main course I know that is not a great analogy but you have to admit its somewhat true. Without the 360 gaming would be lost.. pure and simple!

Gears of War was a huge mainstream hit... it's the best-selling game on 360 right now.

And if Halo did have more blood and gore, I think people would like it even more. Kids these days, they're so violent.

Like i said the game would be majorly hyped by gamers but lets face it, you wouldnt be seeing mountain dew halo sodas, Halo nascars race cars and the Time magazine cover

again im in no way speaking badly of Halo 3 but more toward how ironic the media is. Sure they are both rated "M" but lets face it, if halo had curbstomping skulls, chainsawing people with blood splattering on the screen, Sniping heads off etc. I can bet any money it wouldnt be as publicized like it is now

Dont get me wrong Halo 3 will be a great game but lets face it, I gurantee if Halo had as much Gore as say Gears of war, there is no way you would see stuff like "Halo mountain dew fuel" and the Nascar race car that will be decked out in Halo 3 the sunday of launch or being on the cover of Time magazine. Thats why Gears wasnt hyped as much as halo because of the gore factor and there would have been a lot of complaints if it was hyped by the mainstream media like Halo is

Dont get me wrong, It would still be hyped tons by gamers, but you just wouldnt see that much mainstream hype about such things as being on the cover of time magazine, pepsi supporting it etc.

Oh forget the Campaign. The story mode is good but honestly i still havent beat the story mode. Online is where its at and i constantly play online! I love every second of it

HAHA oh snap! Thats exactly what i did, I swore I would never sell my PS3 and when my 360 broke I traded in my PS3 for a core 360 model and got some games also and when mine came back i just traded the core back in, bought the PS3 back after the price drop. But I think im going to buy another core 360 for a back up because i couldnt go a month without my 360, i just couldnt do it

this is what you do, buy 1 from costco, switch 360's then return the one that is brokencccool91

True but i also own a PS3 and even though Warhawk is ok im still playing Gears a few hours a day on a daily basis among a lot of demos i dl from xbox live and COD 4 beta. I know its stupid to own 2 360 consoles but on the other hand its actually kind of smart if you can afford. Just buy a core 360 model for 250 dollars incase your main one breaks, if your main one breaks just send it in for repairs, slap your HDD on your back up Core model and play it until your other one returns.

I already had to send in my 360 once for repairs and had to go nearly a month without a 360 and I HATED IT! Infact I actually bought a used Core console for like $200.00 at gamestop and just put my HDD on that one until mine came back from repairs, as stupid as that may sound i just couldnt go a whole month without playing my 360. When my 360 did finally come back from the repair shop I just sold the core 360 I bought to hold me over and just took my losses. If My 360 broke on the day Halo 3 came out, I would definatly just buy a core 360 model and send mine in for repairs!!

Fortunatly I work full time and have a alright paying job where I could just afford to buy a core model and have a back up 360 incase mine broke again, I know that might sound really stupid but I adore my 360 way to much to go a month without playing it lol. And man if it broke a day before Halo 3 came out I would just buy another console that day, i would have to! Would you do the same?
