@Lausanna In my area in the US my IP was the only one without any limits but that changed in May. Now there is no where in this area that has unlimited access for any price.
Why can't game developers get it in their head that games that are 40 to 50 GB are not possible in the world today because of bandwidth limits? They keep saying it is like music, books, or movies, but the file size alone makes this not a real option for many people. So unless the can get internet providers to drop limits they are going to have to have discs. Good luck getting them to drop limits, in the US it was 65% of broadband that had limits in 2012 and that number is growing, not shrinking, as more and more impose limits.
They didn't do a 180 that anyone can really prove unlike what MS just did very publicly. I don't own a PS3 BTW but sure as heck will be getting a PS4 because of how MS handled all of this BS with the X1.
As far as Blu-ray and gaming how is it not better to have a 50GB disc over a 8GB DVD that can have larger games on one disc? Don't even have to install the disc on a PS4 like a X1 either, so what does it do that impressed you so much, let you watch TV with fantasy stats I can get off my phone live? Was it the not sharing games and DRM stuff you liked?
@blue_shift_91 @IAMTYLERDURDEN Look you keep saying fear, but it was MS that just did a 180 not Sony. You keep saying Sony lost with the PS3 but forgot that it is MS having to pay Sony to use Blu-ray that Sony can be given credit for winning the HD format war by including it in the PS3. Sony gets a small profit off every Blu-ray product sold, games, movies, and drives.
They paid a price with the PS3 in total sales but did learn from mistakes made and caught up to 360 sales in less overall time, and won a major format war doing it. MS has a slower, weaker game machine with a built in camera no one seems to want at all.
What major new feature does it have over a PS4? You mean playing TV on my TV, voice commands to change a TV input, waving my arms around at my TV to flip tiles. Big deal all that crap is useless to me as a gamer and can be done with a regular controller. I want power, speed, and choice to use my tech how I want to. I can upgrade my HDD, am not forced to use motion controls (that I think are useless), and can get Indie games that MS will not allow on the X1 because of greed on a PS4. Not to mention Sony didn't just try to tell me that I can't own my games I buy on a disc and insult people like my Military brothers and sisters with their deal with it BS.
MS can go f*ck *ff and die this gen, I am forever done with them.
@ZedThePlatypus Thank God MS came along so people can change TV channels with their voice and watch TV, on their TV, with their cable box hooked up to the TV already. That is so important to gamers, and not the raw power and faster processing like that PS3.5 has and keeping those lame indie games from self publishing. /sarcasm
