@ominous_prime @Foolsgold89 show us the article that says that it will, back in Feb Sony stated you do not need an internet connection for the system to work, so how could they also do it? Granted they did say they wouldn't block used games but publishers could if they choose to. However right now that would be sales suicide for the one that chooses that path and if not connected to the net then how would they even know what games you have? They may still do this but I doubt they are that stupid, but we will know in a few days either way.
@2bitSmOkEy You know the end user license agreement will allow "trusted" third parties access to this information and no doubt the Terms of Service will state the same even if you think it is "off". After all they said you can turn it off MOST, not ALL, of the time because some feature are required.
Used games aside, the Kinect alone is reason enough to at least question this. Since this would never happen in the USA right? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/06/nsa-prism-data-mining_n_3399310.html
Not like the USA listens to phone calls either right?
It also has the arcade game that is only a year old and the PC version of AW came out last year as well. Yes the Xbox game is from 2010 but no way I was going to spend $60 new for what I knew was a 12 hour game no matter how good, a personal choice.
What is the price on live right now for just the arcade game? It is $10. The first game is currently on live for $29.99 and the DLC is $7 each, so another $14. Lets see I paid $4 instead of $53.99 from the Xbox Live market place to get all this content. What a horrible deal - LMAO.
Really? Read the link directed at you above and tell us all how it really works then. We don't want people going crazy like in the Shinning now do we? So is this like the Matrix then, there is no spoon? Or in this case, there is no official statement.
Really then read this and explain how the part where it says when playing a game it must check in every hour when using your games library is not just like what I said. Please explain the part about how only the TV and Blu-ray will work when not connected to the net then. The article even has a link to the official Xbox statement in it so please tell us all how they didn't really mean it even if that is what they just said to everyone yesterday.
