Finally somebody in the media who understands. Read the Game Informer article on it, all they do is basically insult PC gamers and blow PR smoke up our ass without questioning any of it. I.E. they have absolutely no clue what they're talking about.Brownesque

You're just an angry "fanboy" who wants to kill "scrubs" like the other "nerds." :P

An no, Dead Space Extraction's core gameplay doesn't use motion controls. Most Wii shooters don't. They use IR controls.Get your facts straight, kid.

roxlimn

While debate is good, and I agree with your point, using the word "kid" is typically not the best way to go.

Auto guide block is optional and only pops up after you die a certain number of times. You suck, you get the shame blockThunderdrone

lol, Shame Block (there's always been something about the word "shame" that I've found amusing...).

The last GS video got me a little excited for it, but this one gets me revved up! I just wish I had somebody around who'd be willing to play it with me. :?

To be honest I had no idea the game was out when I heard how much it sold. Did EA advertise this?

bc1391

A non-Sega/Nintendo publisher advertise a Wii game? Are you high?

oh please. it's all about built in obsolescence. they don't want private servers and mods so that ppl will get bored faster and turn to them and only them to buy new content. just like most things companies make now a days are designed to break in a few years or months so you have to buy more.

Ontain

So your theory is that they're using the iPod strategy?

All of them use a lot marketing. That isnt necessarily a bad thing. They're corporations who want their product to sell.

gamerlifegrace

I like how the article uses the words "fanboys," "scrubs," and "nerds" almost right of the bat. Instead of just reporting the news, the author seems to be more interested in defending the developer. Was this really written by a professional?

Something tells me they won't be too concerned with "bifurcating the community" when they start releasing $5-10 map-packs.

PBSnipes

Ha, I didn't even think of that. But yeah, that'll split the community in 2 (or more) simply by what maps the players have access to.
