I most certainly agree that Mario should not be GOTY. That is, for what I think a GOTY should be.

To me, a GOTY should be one that pushes every boundry it can. That means, story, gameplay, sound, animations, voice acting, and graphics. Mario doesn't even touch a few of those criteria. And maybe Crysis misses a few too, you tell me.
