Consoles are becoming pc's. If consoles got all those features, there would be almost no difference. And I have no doubt in my mind the companies would add extra features like web-browsing, chatting etc.

WHy is that? Consoles offer a VERY nice graphics/power to price ratio and some very decent features only if teh games were more reasonably priced they just lack MK support and freedom on software modding...

miss out on starcraft 2, crysis, CoH etc no way. also, consoles needed a bit more ram to be comaprable to decent pcs

Well with the above criteria there wouldnt be a reason to game on a PC...apart from pure technical standpoint...As things are now here in EU STarcraft 2 and Crysis combined will cost like one PS3 game alone...so PC is still teh king even in price to power ratio...

if you assume almost all pc games come out consoles and they haven't been dumbed down etc there are still lots of probelms. you forget that even if consoles get kb + m , most of the people would prefer controllers. i prefer envoirment in fps, rts etc where almost everyone uses kb +m for playing andthis ain't happening on a console

from what i understood, on the scenario he described that woudnt happen, games woudnt be dumbed down, it would basicly be a gaming only pc plataform kind of console, being able to play games only thus requiring lower system requirements, it would have all the perks a console has and most of the advantage the pc has right now, so it would basicly be a win-win situation.

Yup.. and this is why it will be lucky to sell over 500,000 copies when it's released. No wonder Crysis wants to bring it to game consoles. After seeing Halo 3's sales numbers, they probably started drooling. :lol: Seriously though, if it's not going to run like it should on gamers PC's, why bother getting it? ;)

because ive played the beta and runs better then i expected? sure it has its ups and downs but its a beta, iam able to play on low with a steady fps rate most of the time, and my brother is able to run on high with steady fps's also most of the time.

Well I see it as this, Im able to get both a great gaming experience even better than what the Wii has to offer at this time (going by gamespot scores) and im able to enjoy top notch graphics aswell. Why wouldnt someone want the best of both worlds?

Well in some cases you need those things to have any form of a gaming experience. If Wii had those things Nintendo fans wouldnt be missing out on re5, or Assassins Creed, or other various titles unable to go to the Wii. Also graphics can make or brake a game for examply look at Far Cry its has been called generic at times, but because of its great visuals it was able to set it apart from other FPS.

please farcry was only good on the pc, and it had more to do with the gamplay then the graphics

this been a hellaof a year and there are enough contenders for the goty already, uncharted maybe would make goty if he wasnt fighting giants.

this year we had and are going to have.

Halo3,Crysis,Ut3, iam pretty sure one of those 3 will grab GOTY SSBB is also coming out, Super mario galaxy, and iam sure there are more strong contenders out there, uncharted is a underdog this year
