[QUOTE="PC_X360"]Wait for 4870X2. crazy-player

sorry, there will be no waiting...

ok,i think these will be my choices from the better to the less one:

1- XFX GeForce 8600 GT 256MB GDDR3

2- MSI Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB GDDR3

3- SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB GDDR2

4- XFX 8600 GT 512MB GDDR2

the only thing that may change is the brand name (like xfx, msi..etc.) but with the same features listed above... am i put the chart right from the better to the lesser ???

That list is right.

yaaaaaaaaaay

then the rest is on me now...

thank u guys, u were a great help... i hope that i can help u all someday

whish me luck 2 find any of them at my store

thnx again

take care

bye

1 more thing... don't buy them at stores. They are rediculously overpriced in stores. Also, most stores won't have them since they are kinda old.

Yeah, just to prove that, go to Best Buys website and look at the prices of their video cards. LOL!! they make me laugh.

8600GT is PCI EXPRESS X16....BUT HD3850 is PCI Express 2.0 x16 , my

motherboard has one slot of PCI EXPRESS X16 only, can i use graphics card has PCI Express 2.0 x16 on my motherboard which has PCI EXPRESS X16 only ???

ma3oony

Yes, its backward compatible.

cool ^^..

if it's backward compatible,

then what about this card Radeon HD 3450 512 mb DDR2 ???

That card is crap compared to the HD 3850.

I used to own an HD2600PRO, which performs slightly less than the HD2600XT and it would play all my games at least on medium settings. It would play Company of Heroes on easily on med settings and that is with a Pentium D 2.8Ghz CPU and 1GB DDR2 RAM, so you would be alright choosing the HD2600XT IMO.... BUT, if you can afford that HD3850, you would be WAY better off.

Well actually the first one has integrated graphics too, but look at this and it should tell you more about playing games on it.

http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=32&name=Laptops-Notebooks

I would suggest looking aroung on that website for a good laptop. If you want to play the latest games on it then look for one that has an nVidia 8600 or better graphics card or an equivelent ATI card(I don't know much about the new ATI cards)

Those laptops won't do you any good for gaming. They might run some very basic games, but don't expect to play any big name games with those graphics cards. The second one has integrated graphics.

Thanks for the comments. I was impressed with the results because I'm using a laptop, but I don't think I will buy the game until after I build a nice custom desktop, which who knows when that will be, probably sometime this fall.

Okay, my laptop will definately run Crysis. Here are the results from running the demo:

Low settings-45-55fps (1280x1024)

Med settings- 18-22fps (1280x1024)

High settings-9-10fps (1280x1024)

Very High settings- 5-6fps (1280x1024)

I was quite impressed myself, any comments?
