There is a Crysis benchmark that gives you a decent estimate of what frame rates would be at difference settings.webstaxero

Thanks, I'll google that. :)

Edit* I downloaded that bechmark tool, but it seemed that I needed the Cysis game installed on my pc(which didn't make sense but oh well)

But I finished downloading the Crysis demo, so I am gonna see how it plays. I will post my results.

I would go with the 8600M GT, bc like you stated, the 8400 is quite a bit inferior to it. You should see much better performance from the 8600, and I'm not sure but I don't think you will see much of a performance increase in-game with that extra gig of RAM, but I could be wrong.

Cool, thanks! One question though. Is it a hard program to configure and learn how to use if I just want to measure FPS? I'm not very computer smart, so should I go anywhere near this?SynysterFreak

No not at all, you dont have to configure anything really. You just install and keep it running and there will be a counter in the top corner of your screen while you're playing a game that tells you how many fps you are getting.

I jus played the Crysis demo with my 360 controller(only game I can play with the controller as of right now, and I liked everything about the controller except aiming, it is too hard to aim accurately... and that setback alone will cause me to use my keyboard and mouse.

Dont get the quadro, and if it was me I would get the single 9800GT because two of them would consume way too much power, generate too much heat, and your battery life would be next to none.

I was told that you need a program called xpadder to be able to use a 360 controller on your pc. I using that, but I never could get the program to run, so I still can't use my 360 controller on my pc.
