Is the 360 controller compatible with windows Vista? I ask this because I just bought a 360 controller and plugged it into my laptop which runs Windows Vista and the controller doesn't work. But when I plug it into my desktop, which runs Windows XP, it works fine. So can anyone tell me what the problem might be here??

Thanks for any help

Is the X-box 360 console controller compatible with windows vista? I know it is with windows xp, but I have vista on my laptop an for some reason the controller won't stay on, it might just be something wrong with my USB ports or something. But my laptop computer isn't reading the controller correctly. Can anyone give me some advice on this subject??

Thanks for any help

Company of Heroes has awesome gameplay plus graphics.. it is the best RTS in my opinion by far. I think it has gone down in price too, should be around $30

After i installed the game and try to lauch it, i get a message saying "Conflict with Emulation Software detected." and then it tells me to go to http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=emu&c=9000 for further information.

But the problem is that i dont knw that i have Game Jackal and if i do, i dont knw anything about it or how to close it.

So can anyone help me out with this problem. I have restarted my system and tried running the game with both discs and without a disc at all, b/c isn't that what Game Jackal is for?

Ohh, and I am running Windows Vista.

If you're looking at a laptop for going to LAN parties, don't bother. A lanbox would serve you a lot better and cost only half as much. If you're looking at this for using anywhere where there isn't an outlet, don't get a quad-core SLi laptop, as you won't be going very long on battery alone. kodex1717

Yea, i jus got a laptop for the mobility factor, so i can easily pick it up and take it somewhere else, but the battery life sucks, it only last abt an hour an a half on my alienware.

i jus got an alienware m9750 w/ SLI 8700, C2D 2.0 ghz, 2GB RAM for abt that price.. it is a pretty awesome machine, but if u can find one with a faster cpu and dual 8800 for the same price i wud go with that.
