I have a bunch of PS1 games on my PSP. Medievil is still great fun :D And thanks to wonders of emulation I still enjoy Mega Drive games though not much these days.

Mass Effect 2. If Reach wins I'll kick a cat in the face in anger.

Some of the best songs out there are quite long. Over 6 minutes. Bohemian Rhapsody, Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Blue Monday. One of my favourites is about 50 minutes long: Tubular Bells :)

someone said something about Fallout 3. i loved the Idea of Fallout and enjoyed the game...for about 10 minutes....then it just became Deathly Boring to me...i couldnt help but wonder how much more FUN that game would have been for me if i could go Online and possibly compete with other people with my customized character...seemed like a very missed opportunity. [QUOTE="Witchsight"]Did you ever own a SNES? :?ill-thoughts
nah, i was always a sega fanatic....but i can name Many games that i Thoroughly enjoyed....which were all a Blast when they were played with other people....notably, NBA Live 2000, Madden, Sonic, Golden Eye and so on....Online MP for those games would have been Insanely fun...

I seriously doubt that when you were playing your Mega Drive you were thinking "wow these would be great online with strangers!".

Yes there were multiplayer games back then but you played them with friends in the same room. These days the majority of multiplayer is online and you don't need to spend much time on XBL (I have a 360) to bump into the worst dregs of society. And of course if you play without a headset people just kick you out the room.

I don't know many gamers but the ones I do know all play games I hate so I can't play online with them. I grew up playing single player on Mega Drive, Windows 95, GameBoy, PS1 and PS2. It will always be what I prefer.

I really hope you're joking. Not everyone wants to play online all the time you know. I personally prefer single player games as they wipe the floor with multiplayer oriented games any day. I'd much rather have a great story, characters and world to inhabit than just running around killing everyone else or being forced to rely on complete strangers.

[QUOTE="mariokart64fan"]

well , its not new! where were you in 2005 when nintendo announced the nintendo wii /then revolution huh?

BattleSpectre

This is NEW and DIFFERENT. Yes the wii is just about the same thing, but with kinect you don't use any sort of controllers. You just use your hands and body. That's what makes it fresh.

It just isn't new or different. Heard of the eyetoy and the Wii? Motion control has been done and so has using a camera as a controller.

Except with Kinect you don't hold anything. Imagine playing a racing game while holding an invisible steering wheel. You're not only going to look like a baboon, but it won't feel right. At least with the Wii you have a controller to hold. But I expect Microsoft to go mental with the extra peripherals for it and for them all to be overpriced.

I mainly hate Kinect because Microsoft made so many promises about it that just haven't come to fruition. I don't want to wave my arms around and talk to my TV just to play a game, and even if I did, all the stuff I've read about it has been negative. I'm hoping it becomes a big failure because if motion control is the future of gaming then I won't be playing games any more.

[QUOTE="MystikRex"][QUOTE="feel_freetwo"]they were as bad as each other. There's a root problem with those games, something is fundamentally wrong with them, and no amount of fetch quests(the approach AC2 took) will solve that.feel_freetwo
Care to elaborate?

ok i shall briefly. combat was awful in both games, and was not improved in any significant way in the sequel. stealth was non-existent in both games AI was dumb in both games. these are major problems in the games and AC2 did little to nothing to improve these things.

There are different types of stealth you know. There's the Sam Fisher type: lurking in the shadows and using the latest tech. Then there's the Altair/Ezio type: blending in with the crowd, being invisible and hiding bodies and using the element of suprise.

[QUOTE="MystikRex"]I'd say you're crazy. There are better exclusives in my opinion. DJ_Magneto
Again...He is prompted to buy an Xbox because of Reach. What's so crazy about that. It's the biggest ever launch for Xbox. But that doesn't mean it's the one and only game he'll ever get for the console. I'm going to take a stab and say that you aren't a fan, but that doesn't make him crazy. I used to be a PS2 guy, but I bought the original Xbox because of Halo CE. And you know what? I bought several other games for the old Xbox as well.

Well I've always thought buying a console just becuause you're interested in one game is daft. If I bought a PS3 I'd make sure there were enough exclusives that I would enjoy.

You only get your moneys worth from Reach if you're playing it online all the time. And when you know that the price of XBL has increased it's going to be costly.
