Gotta go with the 360 - the DS is old technology

Both GTA4 and MGS4 were completely undeserving of their 10's

I can only put it down to them being compared to what else were available on the next gen consoles at the time ... not compared to actual outstanding games across all platforms that were available (including the PC and older consoles)

I do not believe that either of them would get close to a 10 today. They would be stretching to even get a 9 (and rightfully so) That is why games shouldnt be reviewed in a vacuum so to speak ... they should be compared to other games that are available on all platforms.

That's true, I read that article on the 6 most ominous trends on cracked.com the other day, and now it makes a little more sense why the same game is made over and over and over again.

Yep so true ... there is to more to having a more powerful system than just graphics ...like better AI, larger and more dynamic environments, more players in multi-player ... are all things that can improve the gaming experience
