[QUOTE="Avenger1324"]I usually take it to mean all graphics options accessible from the game menus have been set to their highest settings - some will have a default "ultra" tab that does it. Some will go further and tweak ini files for extra hidden options, but I would consider that outside of what most people consider max settings, even though it may end up more intensive on the card.Toxic-Seahorse

But in my experience almost everybody is lying. If you press them, you find out that they have AA turned off or something.

More than not people will state if they are using AA or not. I often see someone say "I'm maxing the game out with [insert level here]AA"

yeah, some people have monitors with higher ppi and the highest possible AA is not always needed or wanted

I had my friends girlfriend try and tell me that macs are better lastnight when i was at their house.( she said theyre better because its like a video game and windows is for developers only.) i LOLed and SMHed

This is the main problem with macs, 90% of the users know nothing.

That's their userbase though. A Mac is great for people who don't know anything about computers.

I'd argue that a tablet would serve that user group better.

The beauty of Pci-e is that if it fits it works, you can put all the 1x cards into 16x and 4x slots you want

That's funny because the vast majority of software developers I know use some distro of linux followed by osx, with windows 7 being a distant 3rd.

Just wondering how many of you guys own a Mac? As we speak I am typing this post from a Macbook pro, I also have a iMac at work. Unlike my PC i have never had any issues on my mac that havn't been solved with a 10 second google search.

Dont get me wrong i still love my PC, but for me Mac's cause far less headaches....

Got Mac?

overhead_drums

As someone that supports macs, I can tell you they have a lot more problems than PCs.  You just aren't doing much with your mac.

And the assumption I'm not doing much with my mac because I haven't had problems is a pretty bad one.... But your right, I've never had a problem because I have never turned it on...

Obviously he meant you weren't doing anything complicated.
