the benefit is that you can now run pci-e 3 with 8 lanes at about the same speed as pci-e 2 with 16 lanes, so an 8/8 setup won't give you any performance issues.

[QUOTE="jonleeprice"] 1 maybe so but its all fanboyism

You're right, but you didn't even address that, you simply went off insulting people for no given reason.

2 not all are highly childish

Actually, they were. Very immature, overused insults are consitered childish.

:) 3 NO 8yo kid can "handle" 18 rated games hence them being 18 rated you idiot, who knows what its doing to his rapidly growing mind (lets just hope mum and dad die in some kind of accident and he can get some parents who bring him up correctly, harsh but true)

Yet another ignorant statement.It's never been proven, and you're not even specifying WHICH 18r gamesare bad. Just ALL of them. Wasn't DoA Beach Volleyball 18r?

4 sorry for double posting but my internet is crap and keeps freezing on me and messing up

That's okay, GS prevents double posting thanks to their little popup that goes "You only need to click once"
We all know it takes effort to double post. If it's not really an accident, no need to apologize.

Nibroc420

GS actually lags out sometimes and double posts for you, every day I post I average 1 double post that is entirely GS's fault

There is a swedish store that has the Sapphire HD 7950 up for 4295 kronor, which equals 488 euro, 633 USD. US prices are usually ~30% cheaper compared to EU though.spittis

That's because the US doesn't get taxed into oblivion.

I kinda wonder what OP is like IRL.

I bet some 16 year old kid whose parents watch fox news all day drinking in every opinion as if it were fact.

Every day at like 1am, I leave my pc on, there is no reason not too, the analysis takes like 30 seconds and then like a 10 second defrag. Also Nailed you are wrong, NTFS frags up so bad, if you just installed Windows it is really fragged up, or installed lots of programs, lots of small files, it sure will be fragged up a lot. It's good that Windows defaults to once a week. So you can just leave it alone TC.JigglyWiggly_

Once a week is not necessary.

[QUOTE="mitu123"]

[QUOTE="red12355"]

Anandtech says a 4-6% IPC boost. Ivy Bridge is focused more on energy efficiency than raw performance (hence the 77w chips). If you're a gamer wait for ivy Bridge then buy a cheap 2500k.

red12355

Link to that?

Second sentence.

Thanks so much, I couldn't find that link. But, like I've been saying in every thread, ivy bridge is not going to be that much faster than sandy bridge.
