Good that they finally released the new maps. With all the time they had to spend brainstorming concepts, designing and fine-tuning these new maps that they have created from scratch, I can see why they wouldn't have launched with the rest of the game.
An adventure game being in the top 10 in 2016 is actually an amazing success. The genre hasn't been popular in the mainstream since the early 1990s, except for maybe Portal and Metroid Prime.
@Ronny411: It's also funny how many of them post comments about how much they don't give a crap.... yet somehow they've posted over 230 comments about it in a day.
@baral-o: First person wouldn't be so bad, but now that the temptation to make it VR compatible is out there I always have a suspicion that the gameplay will be dumbed down into a VR demo.
It will sell well, and console gamers will think it's something new and original instead of a $60 version of the first person horror titles you see releasing on PC for $15 every week.
If he actually had gone through with deleting his main channel, here's what I think would happen:
YouTube would quote some obscure line out of the ToS where everything you submit becomed their copyrighted content. Then they would re-post all his old videos and keep all the ad money for themselves, saying that he deleted the copies that he technically owned a share of.
@joshrmeyer: I don't know, but I hope it works more like Dark Souls where it's mostly single-player but others can briefly join you or invade and attack you. I think that system would fit really well with the pirate theme.
