This console generation, I feel like I'm in the mid 1990's again, watching the 3DO, CD-I and Jaguar get hyped along with a bunch of silly gimmick peripherals.
And before the fanboys write their essays, I am well aware that logical comparisons will make my statement look stupid. It's more like a gut feeling I get watching all this pass.
@moose-fitz: That's what I was thinking. PC gamers have so many more opportunities to get the game cheap that it should be able to offset what the devs do. If you find their practices shady, but you like the game, buy it on sale and by the time the milking occurs you will only have paid the price of one full game. Or wait a while for the complete game with milky expansions to go on sale together or appear on Humble Bundle. The Point Is, on PC it's not just black and white, there is a lot of grey area to only end up giving them what you think it's worth.
@kyelo: Star Wars would be a good fit for that type of RPG, because it's basically a fantasy story set in space instead of a mediaeval setting.
That should be a separate game though, since Amy's games focus so much on story. This will probably be like Soul Reaver in space. I would buy both games if done well.
How to do a Nintendo Direct: ...And Here's another thing that's locked unless you buy Amiibos. And here's another thing that's locked unless you buy Amiibos. Repeat for at least the first half of the presentation.
@Garlador: You have to think more like EA to understand. While a remaster might not detract from sales of the base game, it will prevent fans from feeling like they need to squeeze every bit of playtime they can out of this one game. This hurts the sales of useless microtransactions and mediocre expansions.
@runstalker: I understood it the first time. What I was saying was if they're NOT installing any of it on my side, then it's gotta be very prone to lag. Now if there's no lag, then I might not understand that part of the technology.
